Today's Fairy Reading

The goal is to find the balance: we take responsibility for ourselves, and we identify our true responsibilities to others.

This may take some sorting through, especially if we have functioned for years on distorted notions about our responsibilities to others. We may be responsible to one person as a friend or as an employee; to another person, we're responsible as an employer or as a spouse. With each person, we have certain responsibilities. When we tend to those true responsibilities, we'll find balance in our life.

We are also learning that while others aren't responsible for us, they are accountable to us in certain ways.

We can learn to discern our true responsibilities for ourselves, and to others. We can allow others to be responsible for themselves and expect them to be appropriately responsible to us.

We'll need to be gentle with ourselves while we learn.

Busy Buzzy

Today's Reading

When others act irresponsibly and attempt to blame their problems on us, we no longer feel guilty. We let them face their own consequences.

When others talk nonsense, we don't question our own thinking.

When others try to manipulate or exploit us, we know it's okay to feel anger and distrust and to say no to the plan.

When others tell us that we want something that we really don't want, or someone tells us that we don't want something that we really do want, we trust ourselves.

When others tell us things we don't believe, we know it's okay to trust our instincts.

We can even change our mind later.

We don't have to give up our personal power to anyone: strangers, friends, spouses, children, authority figures, or those over whom we're in authority.

People may have things to teach us. They may have more information than we have, and may appear more confident or forceful than we feel. But we are equals. Our magic is not in them. Our magic, our light, is in us. And it is as bright a light as theirs.

Stormy Walk

Oy......

When I'm mad do other people know it?
BOY howdy do they know it.

Don't bother trying to justify, rationalize or make excuses for doing what I directly told you NOT to do. Putting a bow on it and calling it something other than the manipulative crap it is, doesn't make it NOT manipulative CRAP that I told you NOT TO DO.
YES. I'm PISSED OFF.
I can love ya dearly--and still be pissed off.

Next topic.

And when I was told it wasn't two people, but all THREE that did what I told them NOT to do--

I appreciate you letting me know that.
Meeting ENDED.

Do people know when I'm mad....oh yeah.....

I've taken multiple walks.
I've said what I need to say.

Now I'll get to let it go.

O
M
G

Maybe another walk........

Fairy Reminder

Your subconscious mind is a twenty-four-hour photographer, recording every item you see. It is important to your mental, emotional and spiritual health that the things you see create images in your mind of who you are or what you want to be. Your environment should reconfirm your identity and the things you want. Is your home peaceful? Orderly? Safe? Are there pictures and artifacts that reflect the images you aspire to live up to? Does your work environment promote your creativity? Does it foster healthy communication? Does it look like a place you want to be? Like to be? Need to be? Is your social environment relaxing? Are you with the type of people you want around you? Do your family and friends support you and make you feel welcomed? Important? Free? Or are you restricted? Oppressed? Unproductive? You can only live up to the images in your mind. Make sure that what you see does not keep you in a place you do not want to be.

My world promotes my growth and true identity.

Triffid's Progress

TFTD

We create problems for ourselves because we think we need to be more than we are. We fear that we are inadequate to the task before us, fear that someone else is more attractive, fear that the friends around us are bored by our presence.Fear hinders us; it prevents full involvement with the experiences we are given to grow on.

When we withdraw from a situation in order to save ourselves from failure, we have chosen instead another kind of failure: failure to take all we can from life; failure to be all that we can be. Every experience can move us forward in the understanding of ourselves. When we withdraw, we stay stuck in a world we need to leave behind.

I will not fear whatever looks like trouble today. Nothing I can't handle, in fact, nothing I can't grow from will come my way today.

The room with a handy dandy food source

Fairy Reading

We already know what we're not doing and why. We already know where we haven't been and why we cannot go there. We already know what we don't know and why we haven't learned it. We already know how we messed up and what happened because of it. We already know who we hurt and how we did it. We already know the chapter and verse of what is wrong with us. We know it so well that we have probably lost sight of all the things that are right. For some strange reason, it is not always easy to give yourself credit when and where it is due, to give yourself the benefit of the doubt or to take your neck out of the noose so that you can move forward.

Just for today, offer yourself the love and acceptance you need to move yourself beyond who you have not been and what you did not do.

Northwest Winds

Today's Reading

The world is not happening to us. We are happening to it. We are molding it, shaping it, creating the good and the bad. Sooner or later we will get tired of what we are doing and will do something else. When we get tired of hate, we will stop living in fear. When we get tired of injustice we will stop judging one another. When we get tired of violence we will stop aggression in all forms. When we get rid of criticism, cynicism and victimization we will live in truth, take responsibility for what we do and stop blaming each other. When we get sick and tired of the chaos in the world perhaps we will begin to love our brother as we love ourselves.

Victims 1 and 2...and 3 and 4......

Yuummm.

No. Mel did not make the chicken.
Mel made the mess in the front of the house though!

And himself came out and helped clear up the mess.

And we live on a corner lot because........

OH!!

Because you have more snow than your neighbor to shovel AND you have more sidewalk to edge!!

<-- gets points for knowing the answer!!

I have the groaning noises as proof.
*nodding*

His and her groans. *laughing*

BUT!

We had grilled chicken AND marshmallows!

k.....I had one marshmallow.

'Cuse me while I groan and go fetch a cuppa coffee.....

Fairy Thought

In equal relationships, people are honest and take responsibility for themselves. They tell the truth and don't lie, make excuses, or blame others for their behavior. They can admit their mistakes and admit when they're wrong. They communicate openly, directly, and honestly. They say what they mean without being mean. Equal relationships don't contain deceit and manipulation.Today I will make sure that I'm being honest in my life, and this includes not avoiding the truth. I will admit when I'm wrong or have made a mistake. I will not take the blame for others, but I will take responsibility for myself. Being able to be honest and accountable for myself is an essential part of an equal relationship.

Daily Reading

Reality is not our bane but our gift. The particular reality perceived by any one of us is of special significance because in that reality are our lessons - the very lessons that will awaken us to the awareness that what life offers is just what we deserve, and more.

Back to basics

When I find myself 'here', I know where my feet are.
I don't always know how I got 'here', but that's irrelevant--that will reveal itself at some point.

But I can guess--though the guessing is a waste of precious time.

Let it go, Mel.
Opened hands, Mel.

TODAY, Mel....

Sometimes I awaken to truths about others that scream truth about Mel.

Yup.
That's not an all bad thing.

Opened hands, Mel.
Let it GO, Mel.
T.O.D.A.Y., Mel......

Fenced awakenings

You think you know and you discover you don't.

All that you believed, illusions.
Denial of truth? Chaser of dreams? Creator of what was never true; just a wish for different.

There's a truth applied to all human beings--when push comes to shove it's about 'what's in it for me'. That's human nature from Eve forward. I discovered what is true one more time. People cannot betray their human-ness even when they desire selflessness. They are human. Forgive them anyway. And walk proud that it wasn't your turn to sefishly defend what is yours. Your turn will come....it always does.....

It's your human-ness.......

Today's Fairy Thought

Is there someone against whom, you are holding an upset? Is there something you need to say or ask that you have been withholding? Is today the day you become willing to lay down all grievances and make peace with yourself and others? Are you waiting for "them" to make the first move? The most loving thing you can do for yourself is to be willing to surrender all upsets and grievances and make the first move toward peace. Why not make the call today? Have no expectations. Just make the call and open the door. You can do it! I know you can.
