Today's Reading

Our happiness is not a present someone else holds in his or her hands. Our well-being is not held by another to be given or withheld at whim. If we reach out and try to force someone to give us what we believe he or she holds, we will be disappointed. We will discover that it is an illusion. The person didn't hold it. He or she never shall. That beautifully wrapped box with the ribbon on it that we believed contained our happiness that someone was holding - it's an illusion!
In those moments when we are trying to reach out and force someone to stop our pain and create our joy, if we can find the courage to stop flailing about and instead stand still and deal with our issues, we will find our happiness.
Yes, it is true that if someone steps on our foot, he or she is hurting us and therefore holds the power to stop our pain by removing his or her foot. But the pain is still ours. And so is the responsibility to tell someone to stop stepping on our feet.
Healing will come when we're aware of how we attempt to use others to stop our pain and create our happiness. We will heal from the past. We will receive insights that can change the course of our relationships.
We will see that, all along, our happiness and our well-being have been in our hands. We have held that box. The contents are ours for the opening.

Fairy Reminder

Our emotional well-being is enhanced each time we share ourselves - our stories or our attentive ears. We need to be a part of someone else's pain and growth in order to make use of the pain that we have grown beyond. Pain has its purpose in our lives. And in the lives of our friends, too. It's our connection to one another, the bridge that closes the gap.
We dread our pain. We hate the suffering our friends must withstand. But each of us gains when we accept these challenges as our invitations for growth and closeness to others.

Forever changed......
He called me frantic yesterday.
His child was at the dorm--and he had watched the tornado as it was being televised, creating destruction and devastation. A mile wide--there was warning. But there was no place to go.
None.
She was fine.
Physically fine.
I suggested he might want to bring her home.
He was convinced she was fine. She'd said so.
Six dead--storm had passed.
All was well.
He'd talked with her--she was fine, no worries.
No worries......
And tonight--she's coming home.
Three of her sorority sisters are missing.
It's now into the hundreds, the loss of lives.
She left the safety of her sorority dorm and discovered what the reality was.
She's coming home......changed.
She needs the safety and security and warmth of home.
But she is changed forever.
I pray for those forever changed.
Thank you for taking such good care of her.
Amen.

Today's Reading From the Reading Fairy
We can learn to participate a reasonable amount, and then let a relationship find its own life. Are we doing all the calling? Are we doing all the initiating? Are we doing all the giving? Are we the one talking about feelings and striving for intimacy? Are we doing all the waiting, the hoping, and the work? We can let go. If the relationship is meant to be, it will be, and it will become what it is meant to be. We do not help that process by trying to control it. We do not help ourselves, the other person, or the relationship by trying to force it or by doing all the work. Let it be. Wait and see. Stop worrying about making it happen. See what happens and strive to understand if that is what you want. Today, I will stop doing all the work in my relationships. I will give myself and the other person the gift of requiring both people to participate. I do not have to do all the work; I need only do my share.Wednesday, April 27, 2011
QOTW

Who gets to hear about your frustrations?
On any given day, the other person involved.
Sometimes, if I've bought time because I don't trust that I'll say it in a 'necessary, KIND and true' way........no one.
And for those 'I'm gonna take their face off and spit down their throat' moments when it JUST ain't happenin'--WPIML gets an earfull. (and THEN I get to go back and say what's 'necessary, kind and true'.....or let it go cuz it ain't about mememe) (I do NOT like discovering it ain't about me--geeze, EVERYone oughta know by now that it's all about ME for crying out loud....)

Yeah yeah...I can turn things into being about mememe in a heartbeat when I'm in one of 'those' moods--mostly when the only one I'm listening to is me. It's good that I have a sounding board who'll help me understand I'm just not that darn important. *laughing*
I don't have a lot of frustration. I'm too busy practicing 'compassion' and 'understanding' and 'love and tolerance of others' to have 'em. LOLOL

But I do like to whine!
The problem is, I can whine and 10 minutes later forget what I was carrying on about.
So I ask--cuz I'm all about a good whine. "What was it I was droning on about again?"
People are usually pretty helpful.
And then there are those who think it's funny to invent something cuz they weren't paying attention to MY all important whine.
People, people, people!
EVERYone knows that my stuff is more important than the rest of the worlds!!!
People, people, people!
EVERYone knows that my stuff is more important than the rest of the worlds!!!
*laughing*
Today's Fairy Thought
The love, the acceptance of other persons makes me into the unique person I am meant to be. --Peter G. van Breemen, S.J. Our destinies are fulfilled through our loving involvement with the men, women, and children sharing our experiences. It is not by accident but by design that we've been drawn together to share goals, the workplace, or a home.
We contribute to each other's search for understanding, and the spiritual quest that's at our center finds its resting place in one another's hearts. The letter, the smile, or phone call we offer a fellow traveler today will bless our own faltering steps throughout the long hours ahead. Each time we focus our attention on the struggle or joy of someone else, our personal well being is enhanced.
If we give away our love, we'll doubt less that we, too, are loved.

Things that make me happy
TFTD
Not all things need to be said at once. Readiness is the first part. We can get ourselves ready to speak. The second part is timing. When we are ready, we wait for a good moment to appear, a moment in which our message will fit. The third part is love. Honesty coupled with care and love is healing and strengthening. Some pain is necessary in a growing relationship, and we can tolerate it because it leads to more understanding and more peace of mind. Monday, April 25, 2011
Pardon me....
I'm not going to be resentful.
I'm not.
I'm not going to get bitter or angry.
I'm not.
I'm trying.
I'm really trying.....
On the eve of getting news that we'll remain, I'm accepting the resignation of good people?!
Why?!
Because no one asked me options before they decided?
Okay.....that's not why.....
That's the bitter, angry, resentful response.
I'm accepting resignations because people decided they needed to chase different in their lives. And that's okay.
That's a good thing for them.
Ain't all about mememe.
Ain't all about mememe.
I cannot afford to be angry, resentful and bitter.
It ain't in me to maintain that without a cost.
And I'm not willing to pay that cost.
So.......
Surrender.
Accept people make choices and I don't always get what I want.
Things that appear cruddy aren't necessarily cruddy.
Things work out for the good.
Duh. I know this.
I cannot afford angry, resentful and bitter moments......no matter how long they last.....
*sigh*
I just wanna put my head through a window.....
Gawd.
Fairy Thought
Many of us have painful memories we carry with us like pictures in a wallet. We keep these memories alive through feelings generated by those moments. Why are we so attached to unpleasant memories? It's difficult to let go of memories, no matter how unpleasant. Sometimes they're a reminder of the past, but more often we clutch them because we're afraid to feel pleasant feelings today. Because living life differently is working in our lives, we have fewer painful times now. That may not be comfortable, so we invent new pain or dredge up the sludge of the past. As ugly as it may be, it's still familiar.
We don't have to look back. We don't have to feel misery or pain because it's familiar. We don't have to drag out that wallet and look at the images of unhappy times again. We can leave those spaces in our wallets empty, ready to be filled with new moments to remember.
I can try to make some new moments to remember.
I don't need to look back anymore.

Okay then.....
The sun was out this morning. Briefly. Before the clouds showed up again......
But I played in dirt!
Pulled a bugglia out of its pot, cleaned up the roots, gave it new dirt and put it back in. We watered the byjeepers outta it.
I swear it looks greener.
It was going to go bye bye cuz it just won't grow worth a darn--figured 'no loss' if it withers up and dies. If it works--I'll be 'chuffed'.
The dirt was a good thing.
And now I'm going to talk himself into a short adventure.
It's Sunday.....most folks are gathered for some family doings. We are not. The bug went to the other grand parents for Easter services--good plan since we don't do them. (though we do the Bunny Day stuff and she does have a basket of goodies yet to be delivered.....)
Right.
Clean the mud from the fingernails......and off we go in the Jeep.
BITS of sunshine between masses of clouds.
Better than all clouds and snow/rain mix!
We're gonna go on a wander about!
YEAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fairy Reminder
Every encounter we have with someone is mentoring in action. One moment we're on the learning end; the next, perhaps we're acting as teacher. Mentoring has always been a two-way street. We have never been able to control another's mentoring, but we have always been free to choose or refuse to follow his or her example. What we can control, and this has always been true, is the content of our own mentoring.
Are we satisfied that we've done our best?

Yup...that's faith for ya.....
It doesn’t matter what you’ve heard
Impossible is not a word
It’s just a reason for someone not to try
Impossible is not a word
It’s just a reason for someone not to try
People will have jobs--and in this economy that's a good thing.
Yes, it's 50 miles from where it currently is.
Things change and we don't get to control it.
I'm not sure how any of it was good.
35 people who'd signed up for a difficult job--who'd done their jobs, some for 20 years, faithfully, loyally....with their whole heart.
50 miles.....in this economy.....

35 people who'd signed up for a difficult job--who'd done their jobs, some for 20 years, faithfully, loyally....with their whole heart.
50 miles.....in this economy.....
I used the word 'devastated'.
35 people's lives, the lives of everyone around them...
The community who'd embraced us for 20 years--devasted.
The school who'd worked so hard and loved my kiddos so well.
The school who'd worked so hard and loved my kiddos so well.
Devastated...
The volunteer families.
The little church school the kiddos volunteered at.
The churches who took turns with my kiddos--who can 'out do' the other's kindness...
So many lives. So many people...
The churches who took turns with my kiddos--who can 'out do' the other's kindness...
So many lives. So many people...
Devastated.
No discussion.
Alternatives had been looked at.
Decision made.
No discussion.
Alternatives had been looked at.
Decision made.
Everybody’s scared to death
When they decide to take that step
Out on the water
But it’ll be alright
I knew it was questionable when I sent the email.
I knew the expectation was to simply inform people of the decision to move the program, to thank them for their support.
I knew the email would activate her 'mission driven' heart to DO something.
I knew she would call with questions, with passion, with a focus energy no one would be able to alter.
I paused.
I checked the unquestionable content of the email.
I prayed.
I hit send.
And I reminded myself.....
Manipulation isn't always a bad thing.
Life is so much more
Than what your eyes are seeing
You will find your way
If you keep believing
The relationship I have with all of them is forever changed.
I'm one of 'them'.
I am a part of the decision, the one that changed the life that they'd known for 20 years.
It doesn't matter that I am in the same circumstances.
It didn't matter that I too am losing everything I've known for 20 years, the relationships, the community, the security and familiarness of all of this.
I prayed--I've been cared for well.
I've been so graced.
It's not comfortable being one of 'them'.
It doesn't matter that I am in the same circumstances.
It didn't matter that I too am losing everything I've known for 20 years, the relationships, the community, the security and familiarness of all of this.

That's okay.
I'm one of 'them'.
I'm one of His.
I'm one of 'them'.
I'm one of His.
I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
No. I didn't have 'permission', not from the other 'thems'.
I stayed in the murkiness of the manipulation.
Yes. I spoke in terms I knew would drive the passion of multiple people.
Yes. I continued to manipulate--on the fringes, layers deep.
I chased the passion of others.....
Passion driven for varying reasons.
I stayed in the murkiness of the manipulation.
Yes. I spoke in terms I knew would drive the passion of multiple people.
Yes. I continued to manipulate--on the fringes, layers deep.
I chased the passion of others.....
Passion driven for varying reasons.
Some passions were financial.
Most of the passion was of the heart.
I prayed.
Most of the passion was of the heart.
I prayed.
It's just what I do.
No. I didn't have permission.
Yes. I continued to be one of 'them'....the cause of circumstances, the brunt of the anger.
No. I did not confide as I manipulated and fueled the passions in other places.
It was not about me....even though bits of it were about me.
No. No one has a need to know.
I know it's between Him and me.
I'm ok with that.
I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do
Next week the announcement will become formal.
There will be no move.
I sent the terms of the lease--it will be signed.
Jobs that were in the throes of being ended, will be reinstated.
No one will be moving.
Not the program, not the people in it.
They will remain--but not as before.
Forever changed. I know.....
But I celebrate, today.
For the community who has embraced 'us' for years, for all the people who have loved so well for so long.
And I pray.
Just like I've prayed every day. Each day.
I am so graced.
I have been well loved, well cared for.....and well trained. ;-)
That's what faith can do.
Thought for the Day
Who in my life will make me happy? Do I look to others when I'm feeling discouraged, sad, or lonely? Do I want someone to help me feel better? I hold within myself the ability to be happy. I don't have to put expectations on others to make me feel loved or special. I don't have to look for a new relationship to be happy. I can find it within me. When I try to be happy because of other people, it means they have the power to take my happiness away. When I make myself happy, I'm the one in control of my emotions.
Today I will remember that I'm the one who's responsible for my happiness, not someone else. I don't have to look for someone else to fix my low self-esteem or attitude. Even though I can be upset by some people or feel happy when I'm with others, I'm the one who's creating these feelings because I have the ability to do so. The only person who makes me feel a certain way is me.

TGIF
Is it the weekend yet?
It is the weekend, right.
Certainly it's the weekend.
I seem to recall it was Friday--that means it IS the weekend.
Please let it be the weekend.
*sigh*
I'm too old for this.....
YEAH.
It's the weekend!!!!!!
Reading for Today
Shifting our focus, from self-centered fears to another person's needs, offers us a perspective on our own life. It also offers us a chance to let God work through us. Our own faith is strengthened each time we offer our services to God and to a friend in need. What may frighten us seems less important the closer we are to the people in our lives.
When I touch someone else, God touches me in return

Crossing Paths
Yesterday I ran into her.
She clearly didn't intend to run into me--there was that 'deer in the headlight' look when I turned to the car and pointed. Yeah, bad habit--I need to quit pointing....
I got a hug from the crying one.
I closed the car door.
She clearly didn't intend to run into me--there was that 'deer in the headlight' look when I turned to the car and pointed. Yeah, bad habit--I need to quit pointing....
I didn't even get the chance to greet her when I opened the car door.
I got warp speed babbling, very few words of which I understood, that's how fast she was trying to talk and shovel the crap.
I got warp speed babbling, very few words of which I understood, that's how fast she was trying to talk and shovel the crap.
I had to kneel down and just take my number and stand in line...trying to listen as she babbled on and on.
And then she paused, told me she was clean and introduced me to the driver and told me how they were helping her.
Great. Please know you have permission to kick her ass should what she told me be a bunch of BS. Of course I mean that figuratively.

Great. Please know you have permission to kick her ass should what she told me be a bunch of BS. Of course I mean that figuratively.
And then I looked at her and said it.
I care about your life. You matter to me.
Other people care about if you show up to do your job, if you treat them with kindness and regard--and the only thing I care about today, at this given moment....is your life.
Your LIFE.
Not what clothes you're wearing.
I care about your life. You matter to me.
Other people care about if you show up to do your job, if you treat them with kindness and regard--and the only thing I care about today, at this given moment....is your life.
Your LIFE.
Not what clothes you're wearing.
Not who you're hangin' out with.
Not whether or not you owe me ten bucks....
I care about your life.
I watched her as she started crying, assured her that she didn't have to do this alone, and asked her to come sit with me a bit and have a cup of coffee or a sandwich--anything. Five minutes of her time was all I wanted. I'd even buy.
Too busy.
Too busy.
Places to go, things to do.
Wiping away tears--the gal she was with told me she was taking her home with her, that she'd talked her into going with her and that she was going to help her.
I gave her my number--
Wiping away tears--the gal she was with told me she was taking her home with her, that she'd talked her into going with her and that she was going to help her.
I gave her my number--
If she needs some of my time.
If she needs someone to remind her of what's good and true about her...
If she needs another voice saying to her 'You're WORTH it.....'
Call me.
I got a hug from the crying one.
I closed the car door.
I'll wait.
And I'll hope for the phone to ring.
Ummmmm.... Reading Fairy. Ouch.
It's an esteemable act to stop and smell the roses. For years I diligently and faithfully read my daily meditations. I worked them into my routine activities, just as I shower, brush my teeth, and press my clothes. After each reading, I'd stop and digest the material, allowing myself to mentally interpret each passage's meaning. It was a great way to begin my day. But over the years, I became careless in my reading and rushed through my daily meditations. As a result, I missed the essence of what keeps me grounded.
Do you really take the time to understand the meaning of your daily readings? On average, I'd imagine too few of us do. When we skim through our readings, we miss the real benefit of these powerful, inspirational, mind-altering tools. There is a richness in our reading that has the power to change a day, avert a disaster, calm a nerve, or untwist a mind wrought with anger.
Think of a time when you needed help in making sense of an experience and you opened your book to just the right page, seemingly by accident. When we don't process what we read, how can it help us? Yet if we invest the time, we will experience more abundance and a greater sense of serenity. We'll discover tools for living that previously eluded us. We'll feel better equipped to handle situations that used to baffle us because we're participating in our solution. We'll know a new freedom and a new happiness because we'll know we are not alone.
You're invited to take time to read, understand, and really digest your daily inspirational readings. The more you practice reading for understanding, the easier it becomes and the more you will benefit.

Things that make me happy....
TFTD
Sometimes we can disengage from manipulators - walk away, set a clear limit, be done with them. Other times, it's not that easy. We may be at least temporarily stuck with a boss or authority figure that indulges in heavy manipulation. One of our children may be going through a relentlessly manipulative period. We may have a parent whom we care about deeply who has adapted manipulation as a way of life. Learn how to effectively deal with manipulators. Not everyone means what they say. . . Learn to recognize when others are telling you what they believe you want to hear. Learn to not react, stay clear, practice nonresistance, and stay true to yourself. Be gentle with yourself if you have a manipulator in your life. You're not responsible for the other person's attempts at manipulation. You're responsible for staying clear.

'Taps'
Here's a fact for ya Mel.
He can rest now.
You cry when 'Taps' are played.
It doesn't matter where.
It doesn't matter when.
It doesn't matter what it's attached to.
You get weepy when they play 'Taps'.
Oh yeah.... when the flag gets folded and presented, too.
I remember why it is that I don't stay attached to this string of 'family'.
Apparently I needed the reminder.
I'm okay with that.
I remember why it is that I don't stay attached to this string of 'family'.
Apparently I needed the reminder.
I'm okay with that.
You can assume that's nothing changed if you don't check it out.
If you check it out--you can KNOW that's nothing changed.
Nothing's changed.
Nothing's changed.
I am at peace with my brother being wrapped in G-d's arms.
He can rest now.
Stage Call
I'm not really sure why I'm feeling compelled to go.
It's probably the right thing to do.
Elsewise there wouldn't be this 'pull', right?
Today I'll leave work to attend a funeral--I don't particularly like funerals.
My brother was called home to G-d.
Now, it's been two decades--20 some unanswered holiday cards later... We're an odd family--fragmented to say the least. Pretenses were that everyone showed up for the show when the father was alive, and then for the step-mother until she passed over.
That was the 'gig'.
It was all about what it looked like to the outside world. Apparently we were of the belief that someone was actually watching?
Dunno.
But I'll go--I think what's pushing this one is my onceuponatime regard for the sister-in-law. Dunno.

Cuz.
Yaknow....I keep looking for something to be attached to the facts here.
Cuz.

And I'm just not finding it.......
Fairy Reading
Perhaps it's human nature to grow and change only when we have to. Unrelenting pain can serve as a motivator. Sometimes ultimatums are effective too. But making excuses for others or taking over their responsibilities, even when it's for their benefit, never inspires change.
We're learning that the only change we can be certain of is one we make in ourselves. One of the first changes we can make is to let go of others: their opinions, their behavior, and their responsibilities. Our need for them to fulfill our expectations is related to our insecurity, not theirs. Every time we preach or take on others' duties, we must recognize that we are preventing much-needed growth, ours and theirs.
Our intentions might always have been good.
But the time has come to let others live their own lives.
It's quite enough to take care of ourselves. I will not do someone else's task today. Growth comes from each of us being responsible for ourselves.

*humming*
Everybody falls sometime
Gotta find the strength to rise
From the ashes and make a new beginning
Anyone call feel the ache
You think it’s more than you can take
But you’re stronger, stronger than you know
Don’t you give up now
The sun will soon be shining
You gotta face the clouds to find the silver lining
I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
hope that doesn’t ever end
even when the sky is falling
I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do
It doesn’t matter what you’ve heard
Impossible is not a word
It’s just a reason for someone not to try
Everybody’s scared to death
When they decide to take that step
Out on the water

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do
Overcome the odds
When you don’t have a chance
(that’s what faith can do)
When the world says you can’t
It’ll tell you that you can.
I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do
That’s what faith can do!
Even if you fall sometimes
You will have the strength to rise….
Reading for the Day
We can only live now, this moment. We cannot erase the mistakes we made yesterday or bring back the good times we had. We cannot know what tomorrow will require of us, nor can we ensure future security and happiness. Now is what we have, and now is everything. As we focus on the present moment, we live it deeper, and we derive a satisfaction that we did not know when we were regretting the past and worrying about the future. Whatever happens, now is all I can manage and all I need. Sunday, April 17, 2011

For some of us, people-pleasing has become a way of getting our needs and wants met. But people-pleasing is manipulative and condescending. And it cheats us. When we are busy pleasing others, we are not being true to ourselves (nor those we are pleasing). Rather than manipulating people, let us simply ask for what we need and want. We are all lovable and deserving, just as we are. We can truly please ourselves and others by simply being ourselves. Do I ask honestly for what I want or need today? Saturday, April 16, 2011
Oybrother.....
It's snowing. White everywhere. Again. Yes--it'll melt. MID April.......and it's snowing. AGAIN. It'll melt. It'll melt. It'll melt...... *shaking head* I need more coffee......
Reading for the Day
Tragedies are guaranteed to trigger first pain, then perceptible growth, and finally, tranquility. Over and over again we pass through these stages that are designed to nurture our fuller development as healthy human beings. Over and over we see that the tough times teach us what we're ready to learn.
We can look to the day ahead fully expecting to be strengthened enough to handle whatever we've been readied to experience. Nothing will present itself that can't be coped with.

Pink
I tried to throw my body in front of the bus--I did.
I called the boss and asked him to please, PLEASE call the Superintendent........let ME call the Superintendent--something.... Anything.....
I did call.
I did call.
And I did ask him for two weeks, just two weeks......
I look for something definitive in just two weeks.
I didn't get two weeks.
He couldn't give two weeks to me.
There's a contract and he had to abide by it.
I understand.
There's a contract and he had to abide by it.
I understand.
I know he's in a position and he has to do what he's commanded to do.
I called the principal.
She was on her way to the meeting.
She pulled over.
She didn't sleep--she 'gets it'.
She pulled over.
She didn't sleep--she 'gets it'.
I 'get it'.
The Superintendent 'gets it'.
We just don't get to change the circumstances.
I have such a heavy heart.
Eight people.
Two of them 'my' people.
Eight people.
Two of them 'my' people.
Eight lives and the lives of all that they touch.....
I am not made of the 'stuff' to do what it is that I get to do.
I'm not.
I am not made of the 'stuff' to do what it is that I get to do.
I'm not.

I know.......

Today's Fairy Thought
Sometimes forgiveness seems impossible and we feel stuck in the quicksand of our own resentment. When everything else fails, we can try the "First Five People Forgiveness Plan." Each morning we make a decision to forgive the first five people we come in contact with who make us mad. We forgive all five people without analyzing or deciding if they deserve to be forgiven. We promptly forgive each one of them without exception.
This simple plan can work wonders for those of us who usually hold on to resentments and anger. Letting go of anger and resentment lets us feel our loving side. In learning to forgive others we can begin learning about how to forgive ourselves, too.

Courage is the price that life exacts for granting peace. —Amelia Earhart
We have learned from experience that a wave of peacefulness washes over us after we have successfully finished a task that was difficult to face. Courage has its reward.
However, from time to time, and from task to task, we find we need the reminder that peace will come once the loose ends have been tied by us.
It will.

Fairy Thoughts
Many of us have learned to control the responses of others by always being pleasing and charming. Maybe we feel it's better to have others like us than to take a stand. Maybe we only feel okay about ourselves if others approve. Some of us have certainly learned we have a sense of power and control over people when they like us. Many of us have carried our people-pleasing behavior so far that we have really sold our souls for the applause of others.
Are there problems or tensions in our lives from trying to please someone? Is fear of criticism preventing us from taking an action that would be good for us? Have we neglected our inner voice by listening so hard to others? As we get stronger, healthier, we realize that not everyone will like us. Some people will be angry; others, not interested. Once we have faced our own life crises, we are not so dependent on having everyone's approval.

QOTW 4/11/11

What is your favorite outfit?
How come I can never answer a question, straight up?
There's work clothes--and there's non-work clothes. And then there's "Whaddaya mean I haffta show up for court" clothes...
Levis and the cozy brown and green sweater have won on days off in the winter.
In the summer, it's the denim sundress on days off.
During the spring/summer season for work?
Longer skirts (meaning mid-length) and a sweater top. Comfy as heck and I can do layers--on/off as the air conditioning allows.
Court?
I prefer not to go to court, tyvm.

If I haffta--I'd have to say the black suit (skirt or slacks).
I seem to have this thing for black/gray clothing.
Now there's a switch--used to be greens.
NO it is not a sign of age, tyvm........
What if Fairy
What if we knew for certain that everything we're worried about today will work out fine? What if . . . we had a guarantee that the problem bothering us would be worked out in the most perfect way, and at the best possible time?
Furthermore, what if we knew that three years from now we'd be grateful for that problem, and its solution? What if . . . we knew that even our worst fear would work out for the best?
What if . . . we had a guarantee that everything that's happening, and has happened, in our life was meant to be, planned just for us, and in our best interest?
What if . . . we had a guarantee that the people we love are experiencing exactly what they need in order to become who they're intended to become?
Further, what if we had a guarantee that others can be responsible for themselves, and we don't have to control or take responsibility for them? What if . . . we knew the future was going to be good, and we would have an abundance of resources and guidance to handle whatever comes our way?
What if . . . we knew everything was okay, and we didn't have to worry about a thing?
What would we do then?
We'd be free to let go and enjoy life.
Today, I will know that I don't have to worry about anything. If I do worry, I will do it with the understanding that I am choosing to worry, and it is not necessary.
