Oh, he's so funny........

"You know the drill." (as requested by ILTV)
"Answer the questions and then post on your blog to expose yourself to ridicule.
If you don’t post this within 48 hours of receiving a tag, for the rest of your life, more than two-thirds of every breath you take will be nitrogen."

(and just for grins.......I asked the Brit....LOL Better he than me!)

<-- LAUGHING!!!!!!!

He answered--and I typed:

1. If I were to engage in se*ual activity with three members of the se* to which I am currently not attracted, I would choose:

I used to like flagulation, necrophilia, and beastiality--until I realized I was flogging a dead horse.
(let the ridicule begin......LOL)

2. Of the following list:
Pedagogue
Bodewash
Vicissitude

3. You’re in a desert walking along in the sand when all of the sudden you look down, and you see a tortoise, it’s crawling toward you. You reach down; you flip the tortoise over on its back. The tortoise lies on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over, but it can’t, not without your help. But you’re not helping.
Why is that?

Because I'm a replicant.
(Yes, he watches Blade Runner.....)

4. Rank the following from 1 to 5 (1 being the best):

Tri-cut Manila Folders #3
Q-Tip Brand Cotton Swabs #2
A highball glass full of tepid drinking water #4 and #5??? (unless I was in the desert with the tortoise....)
Three assorted length drywall screws #1

5. Describe in single words, only the good things that come into your mind about your mother:

She's three thousand miles away. (Sorry Mum!)

6. How many States can you name from memory?

Did I say Georgia, or did I miss Georgia way back..You're NOT suppose to write everything I say.....
Oh Dear.

Vermont
West Virginia
OH....oh....Virginia
Washington
I don't think I said Nebraska......
I can't think of any others.
How many did I get?!

7. If you were to rename yourself (first, middle and last), what would you choose?

I can't believe I only got 34....that's really bad. TEXAS...I can't believe I forgot Texas. Florida!

I have no clue.
How about First National Bank?

8, Which of the following does not belong:

The SLK is a two seater. That's the only difference as far as I can tell.

9. Pick one: Matthew McConaughey, Josh Lucas, David Beckham. . .

Pick 'em for what? The firing squad?....In which case it would be David Beckham.

10. Pick one: Eva Mendes, Vanessa Marcil, Eva Longoria. . .

I can't remember if I got Alaska.....

Is New Jersey a State?

Yes

New Jersey!

Hangin' out in Winter

It's JUST a name.....

Esther Michelle.

Yeah, of course the Aunt thinks that'd be a good one....
Though, ya know, it does have a pretty sound to it.

"We know we want it to start with the letter 'A'....."

Right then.

"Ashleigh."

k.....

What's wrong with Adah?
It's a nice name! It starts with an "A".

k........well.......
Not so much one she's likin'.....

Ashleigh.
Ashleigh
?
Kinda pretty.....

*shrugs*

I'm thinking as long as mom and baby are healthy.....it's all good.

Middle name?

MIDDLE name?

How come there has to be a middle name?!
Says WHO?
Half the folks on the planet don't like their middle names to begin with. So what's the point?
And really--I'm thinkin' middle names are about "AND I MEAN IT". You only hear 'em when you're about to get in really, really, REALLY deep cah-cah. In which case I think AIMI is appropriate....

Right.

Penelope?

I rather liked that one--but then I liked Esther Michelle.

She kinda liked Ashleigh Grace.

She called me 'obnoxious'. Sheeeeesh..
I was trying to be creative!
I tried and tried and tried.
And tried.

"MOM.....I think nite-nite might be a good plan.....You're kinda gettin' squirrely....."

Geeze.
Sent to bed by the kiddo......that ain't right.....

Besides--I thought Dignity Anne Grace was kinda catchy!

When we begin to take our failures non-seriously, it means we are ceasing to be afraid of them. It is of immense importance to learn to laugh at ourselves.--Katherine Mansfield

Perfectionism and its control over our lives stands seriously in the way of our growth and well-being, emotionally, spiritually, and even physically.
Life's lessons come through failures probably more than successes.
Through our failures we learn humility.
We learn to look to others for help and guidance.
We learn how to let others fail, too.
We fail because we are human.

When we no longer fear failure, we are free to attempt greater feats.
We dare to learn more, and life is fuller for it--not just our own lives, but the lives that we touch.
Laughter over our mistakes eases the risk of trying again.
Laughter keeps us young, and the lighthearted find more pleasure in each day.

I will fail at something I try today.
I can laugh about it, though.
My laughter will open the way to another try.

Compassion is ... a spirituality and a way of living and walking through life.

It is the way we treat all there is in life - ourselves, our bodies, our imaginations and dreams, our neighbors, our enemies....

Compassion is a spirituality as if creation mattered.

It is treating all creation as holy and as divine... which is what it is.

Whining!!!!!

I'm tired.

And I thought I was close to being on the other side of it to not HAVE to be tired anymore.
HA.

I get to remain tired.
And I'm kinda tired of being tired--and crabby about getting to REMAIN tired.

But it's circumstances beyond my control...and 'stuff' happens. I just get to wade through the muck and the mire and do the best I can with what I have....and make it work. Or not!
NOT making it work isn't an option.

k....it COULD be an option but it's just not a very productive one and it comes with some pretty steep consequences that I'm just not willing to pay.

So......make it work as IS today.
Pull up my big girl panties and get over it......get about taking care of what's in front of me.
They're just the circumstances today.

Rawrrrr that I'm so tired that the circumstances are starting to reek like they're my destiny.

Ah.
H.A.L.T.!! ('don't let yourself get too H.ungry A.ngry L.onely or T.ired!')

I must need a nap. LOL
(or......more coffee......)

*laughing at the fairy dust*

What can we learn from someone who always agrees with us?

Not much.

Things that make me happy

....an arm full of crayons, paints, markers and pencil thingies!

....the travel, 'no spill' coffee cup with a button that doesn't require me to pull over to the side of the road and use both hands and a keg of dynamite to actually make the darn thing
gimme my coffee!

....warm, fluffy towels.

....buying lunch for a stranger--and knowing it makes their heart lighter if even for a moment.

....sitting next to an old fart at a meeting and hearing "You AGAIN?!". *laughing*

....cool coloured flowered clippy thingies on stupid reports I haffta do.

....being on-call and getting NO phone calls.

....a shared apple.

Sleeping with Bread

My G-d takes very good care of me. He makes the arrangements for me to be in right places at right times, for which I'm very grateful.

Highlights:

  • Right time, right place to visit with a mom about a situation that she really CAN do something about--and I'll help her do it.
  • Right time, right place to interfere with someone's not kindly plans.....and spare them the agony of having to go back to clean up wreckage........BOY do I know that agony well.
  • Right time, right place to get in the car and make an ER delivery--cuz that's where they needed to be...and I needed to cross paths with the clergy fella who showed up in the ER to check on the gal I took to the ER. Right time, right place--he was ever so glad to know what was what and can now be more effective.
  • Right time, right place to get gifted with colours and paints and fingerpaints and markers and STUFF! :-) (k....I'm really greedy when it comes to toys! LOL)
  • Right time, right place to miss a meeting TO be present for the mom and kiddo who needed some help they'd missed out on.
  • Right time, right place to be called into work and be present for a family when I generally wouldn't be--they needed to tell the truth and apparently chose me to tell the truth TO.
  • Right time, right place to pick up the phone when it rang (instead of letting it roll over to voice mail like I'm proned to do when I'm at the office) and say "NO WAY do you need to be doing that" to the recovering heart attack victim.......or....maybe I'm the victim seeings how he didn't like what I had to say. LOL
  • Right time, right place when I picked up the phone to an irate parent. *shrugs* Better me than some well-meaning and yet-to-learn therapist.
  • Right time, right place to connect with multiple folks when prayer and kindliness was something that was needed.......I can't even count the times that happened in the past seven days.....
  • Right time, right place to get me through one slippery moment on icky roads so I could make a decent call to turn around the very next day........and that very night have enough 'where-for-all' to take major highways to get where I needed to be instead of the dangerous backroads to get safely TO the gal who needed the ER trip. I'm very clear had that not played out as it had, I'da been taking the county road and been in DEEP cah-cah.
Oh.....AND--Right time, right place to be gifted with crayons and paints and markers and coloured pencils and TOYS!!!! :-) (k......worthy of mentioning twice....LOL)

I could go on......the list seems endless. Songs on the radio, tunes picked by other people without a word from me, words spoken, deeds done......there've been a lot of messages and interventions sent my way.
Oh, I suppose if you're a believer of 'coincidence', you could chalk 'em up to that.
I won't.

I listen to hear the message.
I look to see where G-d is present.

I'm pleased to report He had His hand in my till all week.

Like I could keep it out? *laughing laughing laughing!*

HEY!!!! It meant crayons and markers and fingerpaints and coloured pencils AND STUFF!!!!!! Why would I WANNA?!

*laughing*

The 'Back Fourty'

Thank you, Reading Fairy.....

How many things do you do, and how many things do you not do, just because you're worried about what other people would think?

Other people's opinions of you, and your opinions of them, cause a great amount of completely unnecessary negative thinking.
Of course you would like to make a good impression on people.
So you do your best to be polite, honest and respectful.
Beyond that it's useless to concern yourself with what others think of you, because they will probably think it in spite of anything you do. And what does it matter anyway?

Refuse to be imprisoned by the opinions of others.
After all, what harm can someone's opinion do to you?
What power does it have over you?
Only the power that you give to it.

Decide to live with the freedom of your own thoughts.
Be confident of your own value and worth, and that you're doing the right thing.
When you believe in yourself and in what you're doing, it won't matter what other people think.

And while you're at it, remember not to waste your own time by placing judgments on others.
We're all different, thankfully.
And we all think differently.

Do what you will, with the best of intentions, a steadfastness of purpose, and let others think what they may.

Rawr and UH oh.....

It's snowing.

AGAIN.

*sigh*

Why I'm complaining when it's less than last year......SHUSH Mel...... *sigh*
I swear, I just LIKE to kvetch.
What's up with that?!

I'm feeling a need.
Not a need to kvetch--though I just did.

I'm feeling a need to declutter.
Yup.

As in 'get rid of stuff'.....as in 'find a shelf or two around this joint'.

As in box stuff up or toss it out.

Sounds like work......LOL

Maybe if I bring boxes and trashbags out that need will transfer to himself and I can supervise.

Yeah.
Right.

Like he'd toss anything out?

Shinin' thru.....

It's a rare request.....

Prayers, please......

Sometimes it's good to ask.

Fairy Reminder......

When was the last time you spent a quiet moment just doing nothing -- just sitting and looking at the sea, or watching the wind blowing the tree limbs, or waves rippling on a pond, a flickering candle or children playing in the park?

When was the last time you didn't have something scheduled, that you could just relax and sit until you were ready to move on?

The only one who will make those things happen--is you.

Pizza anyone?

So I had the pleasure of working with the kiddos this evening--and with the staff.....which is always a fun time. ALWAYS.

After a busy, productive night with the kiddos the staff ordered pizza in to snack on while they compared notes and did paperwork--and OMG....... it smelled sooooooo freaking good.

k.....I don't even LIKE pizza....but OMG......

Me not particularly LIKING pizza did NOT stop me from drooling over it and threatening to eat a slice.

After a whole lot of documentation one of the staff decided that standing safely across the desk, stuffing pizza into her little self and proclaiming it to be THE best pizza she'd had---EVER.....was a good plan.

And I decided that picking up the bottle of water closest to me and flinging the contents at her was an even better plan!

*hanging head*

BAD Mel.
NAUGHTY Mel.

She laughed......and laughed.....
They all laughed.
And did I get pizza?!

NO.
I don't GET to eat pizza with the crew. For that matter, I don't get to eat pizza withOUT the crew........

RAWR!!

And do I know why they were laughing?
I thought I did.
HA!! That's what I get for thinkin'.....

Aside from the fact that they're all fun loving folks who like to harass the byjeepers outta me (that's just the fun kinda relationship we have going--there's a whole lot of 'play' that happens with those folks)......it would seem SOMEone rang the Brit to tell about my threats of pizza eating.
And who, pray tell, do you think 'suggested' the 'across the desk' taunting?

UH huh....yup......you guessed it......

Uh huh....I'm thinkin' it's late and I oughta be headed to bed.

HOWEVER.
I'm sure I'll have retribution on my brain and there's that propensity that it could disrupt SOMEone's sleep....

Oh gee.

What a pity that'd be, huh?.... *laughing*

Today's Thought

Those mornings when you're reluctant to get out of bed are the very days when you'll gain the most by going ahead, getting up and getting started.

Jump in and tackle the difficult challenges.

We often know not what we give, when we give it.
And we seldom realize the value of what we're receiving at the time we accept it.
Resistance to what another person is offering us may be our natural response.
But the passage of time highlights the value of the experience.

2. People ask me ALL THE TIME to "Make him talk." Most times I tell them that's a non-issue......the 'making' him talk. He does that just fine without any help from me whatsoever. Good grief he's a people people. *I* am not.

3. You do NOT enter the realms of HIS kitchen in that last 10 minutes of meal preparation--under ANY circumstances...unless you LIKE living dangerously...... HOLY buckets.....LOL

4. He LIKES his socks made from bamboo.......very much..... Don't knock it til you've tried 'em.

5. He's obsessed with 'sell by' and 'best if used by' dates. He ain't even gonna smell or look--it's meeting the trash.....period!

6. Every day he tells me the latest and the greatest cuz I refuse to read the paper/news websites. I've now got him trained to send me web links to COOL happy news. :-)

7. He trains well. LOL

8. He trains well because he's neurotic as all get out...eager to please, happy to serve, overly concerned about other's well being and happiness and underconcerned about his own. k.....that's just my humble opinion......

9. He's a GREAT story teller. No foolin'...ILTV gives me material for story after story after story....and one thing will lead to another which'll lead to another which will lead to another--and all of a sudden hours have gone by. :-) It's awesome!!!!

Sleeping With Bread

"If you think your life is about doingness, you do not understand what you are about.

Your soul doesn't care what you do for a living--and when your life is over, neither will you.

Your soul cares only about what you're being while you're doing whatever you're doing.

It is a state of beingness the soul is after, not a state of doingness."

Today I'll take stock of my soul's 'being' whilest my body's been 'doing'.

Not so good in a couple cases.
*sigh*
Okay--not so bad, either....I know the world around me starts shuddering and worrying that I'm 'being too hard on myself' when I start inventory taking. But really, I'm not. I know my worth and value isn't based on what I'm 'doing'......nor is it based on what I'm 'being' whilest I'm 'doing'.

My worth and value just IS. And that's a very cool thing...

However.

I do know that I've been impatient this week in my 'doings'--multiple times, especially with a couple of people. Impatience bourne from fear, mostly. I don't like that 'out of control' feeling that comes when it's about another person's LIFE. I kept upping the ante until I got the end results *I* could live with, leaving the other person telling me that I'm not exactly THE most sympathetic person on the planet.
*sigh* They're safe today--physically on the planet.
I was going to say "cuz I got crabby and demanding and gave 'orders'.".....but I know better. People do what they do cuz they decide they're going to do it--not cuz 'I say so'. I mighta helped 'em find a bit of fear in the circumstances to motivate them TO DO different, but clearly it was still their choice and, the end result, the Big Guy's doing.
Still--unsympathetic and impatient......yup--fear'll do that to me cuz I'll wanna grab the reins and 'giddy up go where I wantcha to go' happens.

I know I've been loving during my 'doings'.......mostly. *sigh* Nope, I haven't done it perfectly. I suspect that 'perfection' is for The Big Guy.
However, I'm clear that practice is in order.
Letting it look how it is, isn't an easy thing for me. It's that identity stuff--who wants to look smooshy all the time?!
Certainly not me.
DEFINITELY not me.
But that piece has been better--really.
Hugs have happened, kindness has happened....extending myself has happened. And I haven't had to give a whole lot of thought to it....mostly no thought what-so-ever. Which is absolutely AMAZING considering it used to be a task and a HALF to be smooshy with anyone...EVER! 'Cept for the kiddos in my life....and yup, I know what's what about that......

I think my soul is pretty content with it's 'being' this week.
It's been an honest being.
A service to others being.
A connectedness to other's being where they are and--for the most part--embracing that place as being exactly where they're suppose to be at this moment in time....and geninuely and truly being at peace with that.
Not egocentric about it.
Not measuring their value as less or more.
Not measuring me to anyone--but embracing that we're all children of G-d and we each have a right to be exactly where our feet ARE, today.

And I'm content with my 'doings' mostly being a reflection of that.

As for the other situations during the week--so be it. LOL
Things get to happen as they happen for a reason.

Being an instrument doesn't mean I'm popular or loved.
It just means I get to be available to do the pushing if that's what I get 'nudged' to do.

((((((((((( G-d )))))))))))))

I am ever so grateful that you agreed with MY plans. *laughing!!*

My Prezzie

:-)

<-- resisting the urge to do "myprezzieiscoolerthanyourprezzie!" LOL

*thanking fairies for the reminder!*

You can feel good for no reason at all.
In fact, you can choose to feel any way you wish at any time and in any situation.
Whatever you desire, you desire because of the way you think it will make you feel.
Whatever you avoid, you avoid because you don't wish to experience the feelings that you assume it will bring.
Yet the fact is that your feelings are not controlled by your circumstances.
Those feelings are determined by how you choose to respond to various situations and events.

Your feelings in any moment are yours to choose.

Choose each day to feel the way you wish to feel, no matter what is going on around you.

Dinner was fantastic, thanksforaskin'.....

Yup--some steak thingy rolled in coarse salt and pepper, seared in a cast iron skillet and placed in the oven to bake...while the gluten free onion rings were made and the sauteed mushrooms and scallions were--sauteed!

Oh, and don't forget to add some cream and blue cheese saucy stuff to the meat stuff!
Ohmygosh.....

Reaching for the sky (part II)

Reaching for the sky

You are ALWAYS loved---

This morning I stumbled over to Ron's place and I was gifted with an awesome heart he'd made for us. He's like that, yaknow?
Not only did he gift me with that cute little heart with the reminder of how loved I am, he reminded me of an 'awakening' which helped bring me to where I am today....which reminded of me of something passed on to me that I didn't want to forget....which touched something in me and gave me this hope to touch others as I was touched...and still am.

I seem to lose my momentum sometimes.
I require the reminders.
I'm worthy of the reminders......

The truth is.......(just like me)......
.......you are loved.
You are ALWAYS loved.

There is more hunger for love and appreciation in the world today than for bread.
Mother Teresa

Have you been fed today?

Has anyone told you today that you are loved?

Has anyone made you feel appreciated and let you know how special you are?

Has anyone assured you that you are exactly who you need to be?
And in simply doing what you love to do, you are doing enough?

Has anyone reminded you that you didn’t come here to prove anything?
You just came to be you. Just you because being you is enough?
You are one of a kind, a true original….. a masterpiece of incomparable value
and without you the world would be incomplete…
Like a puzzle missing a crucial piece
And you are the only being in the universe that can fill that final space.

Has anyone told you that the regrets of yesterday belong to yesterday?
And that right now in this one profound moment in time you are perfect…
As perfect as you were created to be.
Has anyone taken the time to let you know that you are infinitely smarter than you give yourself credit for being?
And a thousand times more capable of achieving your dreams than you believe yourself to be.

Has anyone told you that you should never, ever doubt your own worth?
Because even in those moments when you feel it the least you are still wonderfully made.
And there is within every single cell of your being enough power to light the world.
God placed it there the day you were born and every loving thought you think
radiates forward, brightening the world and making it a better place to be.

That’s how powerful you are.

That’s how loving you are.

So now I ask again…..have you been fed today?

Has anyone told you that you are truly loved?

If not, then won’t you please let me be the one?

You are loved….

Gray Day

Essential Piece

'Essential Piece'

Isn't it a wonderful thing that we're all different?

Each of us has strengths and

skills to share. And when we link our

individual strengths together,

we're invincible.

Can't imagine us without you.

All the staff get together on Wednesdays. It's a day filled with clinical reviews, team business, treatment planning, team business, supervision...etc, et al..
It's a busy, full, intense day all the way around. For everyone.

This Wednesday we were two teams (because that's how we structure it for the kiddos) doing business without one of our 'Essential Pieces'. But believe it or not--we weren't sad. A week after the funeral for one of our very loved and cherished staff members it was a celebratory kind of day....a living testimony of our belief in the greatness of the kiddos that we're each privileged to work with.

And Wednesday both teams took a few minutes from their busy day to gather around the desk and make me teary.....darn 'em anyway. I got handed a card and inside the card was the 'Essential Piece' pin that spoke so clearly what we believe about the groups of kiddos and what we believe about each other and our teams.

And when I looked up to thank them and saw the "IT TAKES TEAMWORK" pins that each of the staff were wearing.......

.......Yup......I waved 'em all off and told 'em to go BACK to their team meetings and to QUIT being so freakin' smooshy!

Sheeeeeeeeshhhhhhhh!!!! Who HIRED these people anway?!

Fairy reminder.....

There is endless fortune in your ability to choose what to do with each moment.
There is limitless fortune in your capacity to feel love, awe, compassion, gratitude and pure joy.

I can laugh now......

But GEEZE I was not laughing last evening.....or was that early this morning.....

k.....it was the wee hours.......so, yup, morning....
Sheeshhhhh....it's all starting to run together...LOL

And......OOOOOooooooh, we're so much alike.
G-d aligns me with people who are sooooooooo much like me it's ridiculous. Maybe that's so I'll get a good 'dose' of humility.
Gosh...........so THAT'S how people feel when I dig my heels in and go kicking and screaming the whole way.....*sigh*

And yup.....it really was kicking and screaming the whole way.

Thinkin' I got told a bazillion times that he hates me. Apparently he's not thrilled about the heart cath deal--I'm guessin' that's okay--and it's my fault they're doing it. *chuckling*
It's been a battle just getting some control over the blood pressure that's been through the ceiling most of the morning....tomorrow they'll work on getting the heart cath done.
k.....I'll have to trust that tomorrow is 'soon enough'....they're the experts....

And can alcoholics (recovered or not) be a difficult bunch to deal with?!
Ummmmmmm......yes, we can be.
Cuz we KNOW what's good for us, don'tchaknow..... *rolling eyes*
And it's 'stupid' that people are making such a fuss.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know I say these very things when I'm scared and feeling out of control.
I'm thinkin' that's how come I've taken it all in stride......I know he'll get around to being grateful.
Today, it's too out of control and scary feeling.

Lemme assure you, it's still scary feeling for the other folks involved, too.

Going through the wee hours of the morning trying to convinced the conceited that they really DO know better and they NEED to let people help them--notsomuch fun stuff.
When you're holding your breath at the silence on the phone hopin' it's not the other person keeled over into some massive rupture of the heart walls--NOT SO FUN.

But I'll sleep tonight knowing he's right where he's suppose to be.
They're taking good care of him.
I don't need to spend the evening/wee hours trying to reason with an unreasonable person who's so good at twisting and spinning things that you start to question if maybe they're right and it'll wait for later that morning.

HOLD ON--we're talking a HEART ATTACK waiting to be treated?!

*shaking head*
We're good!
We're REALLY good at getting people to question THEIR sanity instead of looking at our own 'insanities'.
And I mean REALLY good....

The good news--
I'm better at it than he is.
Nah nah nah nah nahhhhhhhhhh nah!!

*laughing*

MI = Myocardial Infarction = Heart Attack

......He told me the truth for a reason.

I know this.

I know HE knew I'd hold him to doing something about it--cuz he had lied to the physician through absence of the truth....cuz he was scared.....
He needed me to be that 'someone' who'd hold him to doing what he was scared to do....he needed me to be that 'someone' who cared more about his LIFE--

I know this one well.....
Intimately well.

Don't we all.

We get this intuitive knowing and ignore it cuz we don't want it to be true.
We wanna be wrong.

And we start the dance......

Gratefully, G-d made arrangments for me to have had this one in my life long enough for him to get an understanding of the need to have someone.......ANYONE that'll care enough about our lives that we'll tell them the truth. Someone who'll get in our way should we start that dance.......

I won't lie.

Last night I cursed that he chose me.....

I don't always like the anxiety that comes with it.....
....that frantic sense of responsibility......right here, right NOW.
And "I" mean RIGHT NOW!

"They're gonna fucking admit me....."

"Thank you, G-d......LET them."

He's right where he needs to be this morning.......where he oughta have been Monday.

I hope.
And I pray.
Please feel free to pray, too.

*growling at the Fairy*

There's nothing to be gained from a cure that is worse than the disease.
And there's certainly nothing to be gained from a solution that merely masks or delays the problem without addressing the underlying cause.
When there's a problem in your life, get to work rooting out the core of that problem.

Facing a challenge requires effort, and yet that effort is necessary only for a relatively short time.
Running from the challenge requires ever-increasing effort that has no end.
The sooner you start working through a problem, the more quickly you'll have that problem behind you.
The earlier you deal with the root cause of the problem, the more effective your efforts will be.

Truly eliminating the cause of the problem does indeed take more work than quickly fixing the symptoms.
Do the work to root out each problem at its core.
And your efforts will bring lasting freedom.

O M G . . . . . . . . .

Yesterday he was complaining about it being hot in his office--and that he wasn't feeling well.

So he went home to rest for a bit.

He was thinkin' it was his blood pressure going out of whack, so he made and kept an appointment with the physician.
Last night he told me he felt like a new man. Blood pressure med's been changed and his BP was 136/95.

Ya ever have one of those icky feelings....yeah, well, I had one yesterday when we were talking and he let me know he was hot and not feeling well.

I'm the one who insisted he NEEDED to see someone.......

So.........I've read the text message on my phone that apparently was sent at 7:55pm this evening--while I was working.

*#%!! that I missed it when it came in.
*#%!! that it got buried under three other ones.......

And now that I've stared at it and sent a text back--I'm waiting for the phone to ring......and it ain't ringing........

"I was not totally truthful with my doc. I know I had a MI no doubt about it.... was not my blood pressure but a symptom of my event. I just need someone to know."

I know what an MI is and he needs to answer the text......or ring me NOW!

Or.....
Maybe I just need to ring him while I'm driving over there to stick his ass in the car and take him to the ER myself.

That'll work............

'Zactly!

He sings because he has a song.
