The Win Fairy

You survived 100,000 other sperm to
get here. What do you mean you
don't know what to do?
- Les Brown
The best-laid plans and strategies are useless unless you expect to win. And you must know you are going to win before you start. When you know you are going to win, you can prepare your victory speech and what you will wear to the awards dinner the day before it is announced. When you are a winner, you learn how to take a win no matter how it comes -- whether by default, an interception, a fumble or when it comes right to you through the air. Never let a win catch you unexpectedly. Take your wins in stride. Know they are an everyday occurrence for you because you expect to win from the beginning.
Never let words of doubt or fear cross your mind; they are the only things that can steal your win.
Win big. Win small. Win it for yourself. WIn it for others. Know what a win will look like for you, and when it comes, chalk it up to life.
I Am the winning kind.
I Am the winning kind.

Today's Fairy Thought

I will know peace when . . .
I heal my need for external acceptance and recognition.
There is a need that many people struggle with for a good portion of their lives. It is the need to receive or experience the acknowledgment and acceptance of others.
Even when we are not aware that this is what we are doing, we equate these to things with being loved.
To be loved is a basic human need.
Beneath the need for acceptance and acknowledgment is the cry for self-love.
Sometimes having someone else acknowledge you is far more satisfying than simply loving yourself. Perhaps it is because you really don't trust yourself or your own love. When you know in your heart of hearts that you are withholding love or forgiveness from someone else, your love will not be enough to satisfy you.
The principle at work in this experience is, "What you withhold from others will be withheld from you!"
When you withhold your love from someone in response to their actions or, in retaliation for their actions, you are withholding acceptance.
When you withhold acceptance, you will be driven to receive it.
Every living being, regardless of their actions deserves your love. Your love is an acknowledgment that regardless of their behavior, you recognize them to be a divine creation of God.
The Spirit of life knows when you are withholding acceptance.
It also knows that you can never experience what you will not offer.
You will never experience the external acceptance you desire until you internally acknowledge your acceptance of another.

Boogie Fairy!!

We don't know how to celebrate becausewe don't know what to celebrate.
- Peter Brock
Guess what? We are having a party today in celebration of you.
You are one of your favorite people in the world. You are what life is all about and you know it. So let's celebrate.
Let your hair down! Kick off your shoes!
Open the windows, the curtains and the blinds?
Pump up the volume and let's do it for you!
Let's celebrate your victories big and small.
Let's celebrate the things you did that you thought you couldn't do, but you did them anyway -- and they worked.
Let's celebrate because millions didn't make it and you're one of the one's who did.
We're going to invite everyone in the world to celebrate in the being of you.
We're going to have a low-down get-down in honor of you.
This is what life is all about.
Living, laughing and loving; not worrying, working and whining.
So come on, get loose, get free, get up so we can get down in celebration of you -- let's boogie!

Testing 1, 2, 3.....
Check in:
Physically
Intellectually
Emotionally (sad, happy, angry, fearful)
Spiritually (what do I want)
Here we go.......
Here we go.......
How willing will I be to do a daily check in (sometimes multiple times daily) based on those four 'reports'?
Oh boy.......
With some folks--very.
With others.......notsomuch.
OMG.....I think I have 'trust issues'.
Hold on--trust is a choice and not a feeling.
Hold on--trust is a choice and not a feeling.
Yup.
Yup! And I choose not to trust some folks.
HA.
Right.
Physically, I'm antsy and intellectually my brain's all over the place. Emotionally--I'm happy and what I want is to get my coat on and grab himself for an adventure!
That was easy! LOLOL
Today's Reading

I will know peace when . . .
I examine what I feel beneath what I am feeling.
It can be frightening to experience and express anger. Even more frightening is the hurt that caused the anger in the first place. When you get hurt, you get angry. You believe that the anger is directed outward, toward the person who hurt you. The truth is, anger as a response to hurt is always directed inward. You are angry that you loved too much. Cared too much. Because it is hard to admit these things to yourself, about yourself, you point the finger out there, at them! The challenge is to recognize that it is much easier to be angry than to say to someone, "You hurt me." When you are angry, you are in control. Control is what you believe you must have to avoid being hurt.
Being hurt is a sign that there is something in you which requires your attention. Being hurt is a sign that you have been engaging in a pattern of behavior that no longer serves who you are. When you get hurt, it means that you have a tender spot about which you have been denying or resisting the need to address. Along comes some unsuspecting soul, doing what they do, in the way they do it, and they stick their finger in the tender spot.
It makes you angry that you didn't see it coming. You are angry because you believe you should have known better. You need to stop being angry long enough to examine your own heart and mind.
Until today, you may have believed that someone you trusted, loved or both has done something to make you angry. Just for today, lay your anger aside. Look beneath the anger to find the hurt that you have buried to avoid dealing with it.
Today, I am digging up old hurts and putting them to rest!

Do you see shoes, sweaters, pants, dresses?
Now, remind yourself you have plenty.
Look out of the window.
Do you see a tree? Grass? The sky?
Now, remind yourself you have plenty.
Look at a child. Look at the children, the ideas yet to come, the experiences to be had, the things that must be learned. Now, remind yourself you have plenty.
Look at the sun, the moon, the ocean, the stars. Think of the summer, the winter, the spring, the fall. Now, remind yourself you have plenty.
Turn on the water in the sink. It comes whether you say thank you or not.
Now, remind yourself you have plenty.
Take a look at the newspaper and ask how many trees it took to make it.
Now, remind yourself you have plenty.
Think of your heart, lungs, kidneys and liver.
Now, remind yourself you have plenty.
Remember that the computer is an attempt to re-create the human mind.
You have a mind. Now isn't that plenty?
I Am enough. I have enough.
I Am enough. I have enough.

Fairy Reminder!!

There is this thing going around. If you are not careful it will attach itself to you. When it does, it will drain you of everything you have. It will suck you dry and leave you to die. This thing is called the Spirit of the Do-Do. It attacks your brain. It can drive you insane. It never lets you rest. It is constantly telling you what to do. Do this! Do that! Do it faster! Do it better! Do it quick! Do it now! Do it today! Do it for me! Do it for money! Do it or else! Do it again! You better do it! You better not do it! They saw you do it! You should do it! You should not try to do it! You can't do it! You'd better do it! Don't you ever do it! There is only one way to rid yourself of the Spirit of the Do-Do. Close your eyes, take a deep breath and repeat one hundred times:
Father/Mother/Divine Spirit, what would you have me do?

Fairy Thought for the Day

When a thing has served its purpose, it will go away. Sometimes it will break. At other times, it will simply die off. Then, there are those times when for no reason, it will simply fall apart. There will be tiny little fragments and pieces that are missing, making it impossible to put the things back together. When a thing no longer has any purpose being in your life, it will go sour. Or, it may run away. Or, it may pack and leave very abruptly. When a thing has served its divine purpose in your life, there is no explanation. There is no excuse. It cannot, will not, must not stay in your presence. If you try to hold on to something that has already fulfilled its purpose in your life, you are going to hurt yourself. If holding on is disturbing your peace of mind, it makes sense to let it go.
Until today, you may have been holding on to something or someone not realizing that their purpose in your life has been served. Just for today, surrender all attachments to people and things that you have been struggling to hold on to.
Today, I am devoted to releasing everything and everyone which do not serve a divine purpose in my life!

Daily Reading

One forgives to the degree that one loves. --La Rochefaucould
We all get hurt by other people sometimes. When this happens, we have choices. We can get angry and stay that way. We can act like it didn't hurt and try to forget it. We can act like a sad sack and hold a grudge. Or we can forgive.
We first have to think about how someone hurt us. It often helps to talk to the person, to tell the person that he or she hurt us. We then tell the person what we'd like from him or her to help set our relationship straight. Then we let go. This is what forgiveness is: (1) loving ourselves enough to stand up for ourselves, (2) loving others enough to point out their behavior, and (3) letting go.

The love of our neighbor in all its fullness simply means being able to say to him, "What are you going through?" --Simone Weil
Love is listening to our friends and really hearing what they have to say. Sometimes we find it hard to listen because we are so full of ourselves. We don't hear well when we stop listening and start thinking about our own responses. We feel most heard when someone doesn't try to fix us or give us all the answers. Mostly, we need a friend to let us pour our hearts out, to tell our stories to. In giving another the same attention we'd like to have, we live by the Golden Rule, and we allow ourselves the rewards of true friendship.
Today let me bring a friend my undivided attention.

Fairy Thought

Love is something if you give it away, you end up having more. --Malvina Reynolds
The abundant life appeals to us. Seldom do we want less money, fewer toys, clothes, or friends.
In general, we want more of everything and still more - particularly of love.
The truth is that the things we hoard or hide or fear losing must be shared or soon may be lost.
Giving love to a lover, a friend, or even a stranger will fill up our own empty spaces where love wants to be.
And we'll glow radiantly with the warmth that hovers on the heels of love expressed.
The pantry of the human heart is never bare when love is being served.
We pass this way with one another, not by mere chance, but by design for the nourishment that is love.
Our greatest hope, to be loved, is ours when we've made that hope a reality for someone else.
