The No-Yard Yard

This is soooooooo not my fault.....

I needed the exacto knife.

I put things away where I know I can find 'em.
.....in the card making box.
.....with all the doo-dads and whozits for making holiday cards.
....with all the pretty papers and cute little penguiny, reindeer, snowflake STUFF!

Yeahyeahyeah....
I MEANT to simply remove the exacto knife and head for a magazine or two.

Ummmm.....didn't happen.

Two hours later.....LOL......I have ONE holiday card.

One.
And it's questionable just how 'cute' it is. Well, leastwise it's questionable how cute it is in my eyes.
Himself says 'cute'.
Like 'he-who-whips-one-out-in-ten-minutes' is a reliable source.

I did find the exacto knife.

I need glue.
And I think I need some glittery, shiny thingies.
And maybe some more penguiny guys....and a snowman or ten.
OH!! And some trees.
I need trees.

Then I can put glittery shiny thingies ON the trees.

*laughing* So much for my recycle pile!
OH wait!! Maybe I have an idea in the making and I don't know it yet!

I think I just made plans for my Saturday.....and for his. *laughing*

Fairy Reminder for Today

The universe is so intelligent, it never asks us how or why. Our thoughts, words and deeds are quietly recorded and we are always paid our due. There are times when we can't figure out how we got to where we are, or why we go through what we do. We just can't seem to figure it out, but the universe knows.

There is an invisible bank of law and order into which we all deposit. At just the right time, in just the right way, we are given an account. We must be careful of what we ask for because we will always get it. What we do unto others, shall be done unto us. What we hold in our hearts stays with us. That on which we focus our thoughts will grow.

Caution: Brain at work......

It's good when it's the weekend and there's no concrete plans.

At least it's good for a bit of time......and then my brain starts to organize my time. (darn brain......)

I started to think about what to do with all those naked decorations hangin' around the floor by the table where I take my coffee.....and maybe drag out the card making things. And then there was the fleeting idea of 'zackly how DO you make those paper bead thingies--I could sooooooooo do that!' that grabbed me.

I'll do research.
I'll find the supplies.
Hey--maybe I can put bead thingies ON the naked decoration thingies!
k...maybe not. But I sooooooo want to have a go at cutting up some stuff and twisting 'em around toothpicks.

:-/

Yeah.....I know--sounds too easy.
But it's worth a try.

ACK!
Darn brain......

Or.......I could just do nothing!

Nah.
TOO late!

<-- going to investigate the supply of toothpicks and glue around this joint.

Morning Mirror

Another Fairy Reading!

Have you ever considered just being yourself?

Do you really understand that you are enough?

There is no need for you to be some kind of super-being in order to measure up with everyone else. Who you are is really quite enough!

You know enough and have enough to offer something valuable to whatever is going on.

If you would simply show up, with your smile; your way of doing things and, your way of being exactly who you are, you would recognize that who you are is just fine!

If you would just for a moment stop tearing yourself down because of the seeming mistakes you have made, you would feel like who you are is enough.

If you would choose to stop beating up on yourself for the things you did not do to everyone else's satisfaction you would understand that who you are is enough.

If you would decide to stop doubting and second guessing yourself you might realizethat who you are is enough.

If you would allow yourself to be who are without excuses or defenses, for just a moment, you might have a very valuable experience.
If you were to let yourself know that you are enough for about thirty seconds, do you think others might notice?

Is it possible that you might find a new vision of yourself and for yourself?

What if you were to let yourself know that you are enough by doing everything in your power to believe it, trust it and demonstrate it, is it possible that those who find you lacking might shut their mouths?

It's all possible, but you will never know until you take a chance on just being enough of yourself to make yourself happy.

BEING MYSELF IS ENOUGH

I will realize my own worth when I accept . . . I am nothing to be ashamed of.

Harvest in Red

Today's Thought

Have you ever noticed that the more you try to do, the less you get done? The reason is that doing requires evaluation and activity on the physical level. The physical part of us is limited by perception and personality. Our perceptions tell us what we can do, can't do, will do, won't do and what others will think, do and say about our "doing." Doing is an intellectual exercise. The more we value our intellect, the more we think we must do. The key is to stop doing and start being. We must accept our goodness right where we are and stop thinking of it as something we must wait to get. Whatever it is you want to be is waiting for you. You can be healthy, organized, loved, prosperous, fulfilled and free without "doing" anything. It begins with a single thought and a simple statement --

I AM.

Stop doing. Start being.

Pooooooooor Birdies....... :-(

*pocketing the angel*

Prayers are always powerful...and welcomed.

Snow....

That's what we have.

That's what I was kinda hoping to delay.

Ah well, there's no delaying what's not in your control.
:-/

Yeah well, I still have delusions of grandeur. :-D

GO AWAY.
(I'll see if that works.....)

Ohhh...Smart Fairy

Could it be that you cannot see yourself as a valuable and worthy person because you know how mean, ugly and nasty you can behave? Perhaps, because you have seen your dark side and know what you are capable of doing, it is difficult to accept that you are still worthy of love, honor and respect. If this is the case for you, relax! Everybody has a dark side and, it has nothing to do with whether or not we are worthy.

If you want to experience the fullness of the truth of who you are and establish an intact sense of self-worth, you must be willing to examine and explore your dark side. You must acknowledge how bad you can be. You must accept how horribly unloving you can behave. You must also admit to those times when the darkness got the best of you causing you to act like a real low-life. The dark side keeps you on your toes. Dark thoughts, dark habits and dark tendencies push you toward the light. As long as you are reaching for or, searching for the light, you stay above the darkness. This does not mean that the darkness doesn't exist. Nor does it mean that you should ignore or deny your own dark tendencies. It simply means that staying out of the darkness of your own mind serves as a very good motivation. The more you know about your dark side, the brighter you will shine in the light.

When you know how deep and dark your dark side is, it helps you stand a little taller in the light. You know better than anyone, "from whence you came!" When you know how far down in the darkness you have been or, could be, the knowledge pushes you a little farther, a little faster. When you have seen the faces of your dark side do not believe that they make you unworthy. Acknowledge them. Learn from them. Forgive them. When you can do that, you transform their energy into more light.

I will realize my own worth when I accept . . . all aspects of who I am are important.

There's an Angel in my pocket

It was still dark when I pulled her from the box on the shelf and tucked her into my pocket.
She carries peace on her wings and rests in the velvet bag, touched by love twice over.... snuggled in faith.

I wasn't certain why I pulled the angel from her shelf. But I did...... And when I found myself in search of love and faith to accompany her I came to a bigger understanding.
Sometimes you just get to know things before you know things.

She's still there, tucked safely in my pocket. And I'll carry her for a while.........while my better angel carries others.
And I'll keep peace with love and faith. They belong together, right where they are......

~~~~~~~~~~
I ask for prayers and positive, healing, comforting, peace-filled thoughts for Spadoman and for those he loves.
And for angels......
It is with great love that I thank my G-d, my better angel.......and all of you.
Fencerow Fall
Things that make me happy....
....copiers---that work.
....the mess of fun makin' 'stuff' clustered around the kitchen table. *snickering*
....watchin' the neighbor whizz 'round on the mower, mulching leaves for better than an hour.....and then watching that one, bold, stray leaf blow onto his perfectly leafless lawn. :-D
....the return of the penguin mug!
....watching someone else fumble and grumble as they set the DVD clock to DST.
....apples from the orchard.
....prezzies of the heart.
Fairy Reminder for Today
We have been trained and conditioned to give gifts on specific occasions.
Occasionally we give gifts to those who have a special meaning to us.
Unfortunately, this kind of giving is more for ourselves than for the person receiving the gift. Usually, we tell ourselves, "I don't have anything to give."
We have been miseducated about gift-giving.
We believe gifts must always bear a price tag or be given for a particular reason.
It is this kind of thinking that causes a drought in our giving supply.
The real joy in giving comes when we give what we have spontaneously, with no reason other than for the joy of giving.
It is this kind of giving that opens the door for us to receive.
When we give for the sake of giving rather than out of duty, we will begin to understand.
We can give our time, our energy, our thoughts.
We can give a book when we've finished it, something we can no longer wear or use, pay the toll for the car behind us, or give someone we don't know a compliment.
We actually have a great deal to give in may ways.
I give joyously from my heart just for the sake of giving.
Morning Shower
Fairy Thought
Questions are wonderful. Questions open the mind and the heart to new levels of awareness. They stretch and strengthen the consciousness to broader concepts. Questions support our steps toward growth, healing and evolution.
They give us something more to reach for and, more things to consider as we reach where we are going. Questions enliven our innocence.
They also solidify our wisdom.
While we may think questions bring us answers.
The truth is, the answer is always within the question.
I will realize my own worth when I accept
. . . I already know the answers to the questions I am afraid to ask.
