Freeing the Bug(z)

Shhhh.....we're catching lightening bugs in grandad's bug jar.....

'Course it all goes out the window cuz we gotta set 'em free and squeak "Thank you for setting me free!!"  (cuz that's what they say as they take off with their lights flashing, dontchaknow.....)

And then it's back to whispering and galloping off with the bug jar...
"Your welcome Mr. Lightning Bug......  .Let's catch another one Nana!!"

:-)

And they'll be back again TONIGHT!!  Woooohoooooo!!!

Delightful. Loved this. Are lightning bugs the same as our fireflies?

We were suppose to have a fire last night, but Papa fell asleep early again. Darn old man. Well, we'll try again tonight. Got a lot of construction ends and pieces to burn and gotta roast those little white squishy thingies, what do you call them?
The state birds are out in force. Gotta stay near the fire or have the bug dope sprayed on vigorously. I'm sure we'll see lighting bugs and catch a few. We do throw the wood ticks in the chamber of death, (a small jar of dish soap)
Peace

Bwhahhahahahahhha! Oh, how CUTE!

I wish, I wish, I wish I would see a lightening bug. Even just ONE. When I first moved back east, I saw a couple the first summer I was here, but alas....they no longer come to the city :(
