I always thought Indian Corn is lovely.

Is it still called Indian Corn?

I know here in Santa Cruz they have renamed today, "Indigenous Peoples' Day" because they are ....we never mind why I think they've done this.

And apparently the wee ones don't call it sitting "Indian Style" any more...now it's called sitting "cross-legged"

whatever

When I have a bug of my own...they will sit Indian Style and whatever else I can think of.

ha. a bit off track.

I do like Indian Corn. I should go find some today.

that is just the most wonderful thing, that corn

all those colours!

my mother used to say that people were having a pow-wow, when they'd go off in a huddle and speak in low voices

s'pose that phrase would be rejigged in Santa Cruz! (is "rejigged" rude about the Irish?)(see, all this political correctness just gets soooooo tricky!)

anyhoo, back to the corn - it's lovely!

the corn is lovely...

and speaking of Indians, I was given my native name recently at the tribal grounds in Ochlocknee, Georgia...the name given me is "Smiling Wolf"...

[I was also adopted as a Sister to my Band Chief in a different ceremony...]

[Mel: I know you've got Bug a costume, but since you celebrate Halloween pretty much the entire year, i'm stopping by to offer a link: http://www.diapers.com/Shop/Halloween.aspx

As always I love your photography - this photo is awesome and I have never seen corn like these ones. Indian corn - so interesting to me as I have an American ancestor (came to NZ around 1860) and other researchers say that he was Native American - I would love to know if this is correct or not.

Such beautifully coloured corn. We don't have anything like that and I have envy : )

Again, I must agree with Marilyn....I always love your photography, Mel!

You have the best eye!

And I have to admit, I never knew this was called Indian corn. I just though it was called Colorful Corn.

HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA!
