It's been a week now....

And I'm still feeling 'off'.

Things aren't working like they oughta be.
Food in, food out.
*shaking head*

It's been two years since I've felt like this.
I have not missed it.
Just sayin'......

In the meantime it's interfering with my ability to do what I'd like to.
I did manage to leave work after (another!) half day. And I spent the afternoon digging through photos and taking them off the laptop......yup.....OFF.
This is why the handy dandy little plug in memory thingy is a brilliant thing.

Not that I accomplised a lot.
I kept checking folders and 'ooohhhh-ing' and 'ahhhh-ing' and remembering the moment.
This is a good thing--the remembering the moment deal.
I mean I forget stuff just as fast as I take it in.
Remembering is probably a luxury for today.

Gawddddddd..I not only feel old, I act old!
*sigh*

Dearest Mel,

I've not forgotten and I've tried to step up and get my head out from the reeling feeling.

I've gotten one of those mail virus and so have been trying to think how to get rid of, sort through and toss? stuff. I've got an external drive too and been bad about keeping stuff there too.

Your post came up on my RSS feed (which I've behind by several thousand) but had to check in on my not so old friend and tell you that of course you're not alone. It sounds trite maybe (it does to me at the moment but it's true). I've began to feel more and more that the words "soul family" really do apply and that I may not hear from certain folks for weeks, years - we're still connected, we are one. It's brought me a sense more and more of harmony that I kept harping on but as I get older, I'm remembering and forgetting all at the same time.

When people say the past is the past, I protest (in my mind most usually) that the past may be the past but in reality it's always with us, a huge part of who we are now.

I've overspoken I know and I don't know your present circumstances but the comment by english inukshuk has gotten me concerned. What do the doctors say? Are there issues? I know we all have them and no matter the deal, when a friend is hurting or in doubt, I always want to reach out, know more, and maybe even commiserate.

I have been having my own issues too, still and the latest worry about the cancer lurking and perhaps on the move has gotten me more worried than I've been in the past. At least the brain scan came back clean but what's really going on STILL remains to be seen.

I'm on your side Mel, feel free to contact me via email if you ever just want to - let loose and bitch, cry, talk - I love you Mel.

Peace, love and understanding.
