Half Mast

It's sunset.

This morning was somber.
This evening.......somber again.

It's a day of memories--none of they joyous.
But a day of memories nonetheless.

The Federal Buildings, the banks....the schools.
And on this wee street--us.

I haven't forgotten.
NBC apparently couldn't be bothered today--
I could.
We could.

I'll take another moment as the sun sets.....because I can.
Because it's right for me......

I hope my comment went through. I received a strange screen...

I don't think my 1st comment went through. I told you my heart's flag is half-mast. Not only for those innocents who died in a state of terror and unspeakable fear, but also because there still exists those actions and attitudes that tear down the world's attempts to bring respect, trust and peace into the equation.

Our small volunteer fire department put together a memorial for New York. It's outside our Fire Hall. Some of our guys went to NY to help after 9/11. I know it changed them forever.
