I called the boss and asked him to please, PLEASE call the Superintendent........let ME call the Superintendent--something.... Anything.....
I did call.
I did call.
And I did ask him for two weeks, just two weeks......
I look for something definitive in just two weeks.
I didn't get two weeks.
He couldn't give two weeks to me.
There's a contract and he had to abide by it.
I understand.
There's a contract and he had to abide by it.
I understand.
I know he's in a position and he has to do what he's commanded to do.
I called the principal.
She was on her way to the meeting.
She pulled over.
She didn't sleep--she 'gets it'.
She pulled over.
She didn't sleep--she 'gets it'.
I 'get it'.
The Superintendent 'gets it'.
We just don't get to change the circumstances.
I have such a heavy heart.
Eight people.
Two of them 'my' people.
Eight people.
Two of them 'my' people.
Eight lives and the lives of all that they touch.....
I am not made of the 'stuff' to do what it is that I get to do.
I'm not.
I am not made of the 'stuff' to do what it is that I get to do.
I'm not.
.
.
.
.
.
I know.......
Faith.

I'm sorry you are suffering, Mel. I hope you can soon find the inner wisdom, intuition and insights that will help you and your employees, who are laid off and who stay, get through the situation.
Something to tuck away - Judith Orloff is a Psychiatrist who wrote a book, "Emotional Freedom". She groups us into four types: Intellects, Empaths, Gushers and Rocks.
We're all needed! It's totally okay to be whatever we are! She outlines how we imprison ourselves with emotions that are not ours to carry. And she shows us how to free ourselves and still care for others.
I send you all sorts of positive energy.
Ah yes--been there, read that. Rather enjoyed bits of it, actually.
Lemme assure you, I am NOT a Gusher. Though yaknow.....I do have those 'Gusher' moments!!
Bit of the remainders, frankly. And I realize I have the propensity to sound 'hard on myself, easy on others'.
Cuz I am in the 'inventory' bit. Not an all bad thing...I figure that's a good chunk of what's brought me to where my feet are today. And that's a pretty darn good place!
:-)
Enjoy the weekend, ma'am!
I'm far away but feel for you. I don't want you to have to be going through this. You are strong and time will pass. Each moment things will change for better or even worse.
You are the most special of all people. I wish peace for you.
