It's probably the right thing to do.
Elsewise there wouldn't be this 'pull', right?
Today I'll leave work to attend a funeral--I don't particularly like funerals.
My brother was called home to G-d.
Now, it's been two decades--20 some unanswered holiday cards later... We're an odd family--fragmented to say the least. Pretenses were that everyone showed up for the show when the father was alive, and then for the step-mother until she passed over.
That was the 'gig'.
It was all about what it looked like to the outside world. Apparently we were of the belief that someone was actually watching?
Dunno.
But I'll go--I think what's pushing this one is my onceuponatime regard for the sister-in-law. Dunno.

But I'll go and sort the rest out later.
Cuz.
Yaknow....I keep looking for something to be attached to the facts here.

Ah that's a hard thing. But you're right - it's probably the right thing to do. And onceuponatime regard is worthy of recognition isn't it.
Hmm yes I'd say the right thing to do, feel you might regret it if you didn't - after all fragmented or not he was your brother.
But I can see why the questions - 20 years with no replies? yep I can definitely see why the questions.
I hope it went ok.

Ironic that you posted this because I don't particularly like funerals either. However, a few months ago, someone I work with lost their father and for some reason I was really drawn to go to his funeral service. The guy I work with and I are not very close, nor do we always see eye to eye on things. We don't dislike one another, however we're not buddy-buddy.
And yet, I'm so glad I went, because he told me afterward, how touched he was that I showed up. He said it made him feel so good. And me too. I think it made us a bit closer.
So, yeah...I'm glad I went.
Hope all went well for you, dear Mel.

it's amazing the grace we are given when we follow where we are led...

It would be harder to regret not going than to regret going, imho.
were you glad you went?
