Yup--sat out with the fly swatters, grumbled at himself who turned on the patio lights I'D unplugged (evil June-bugs just HAVE to be attracted to light, dontchaknow...), listened to the gus-birdies congregate in the tree and waited.
And waited.
AND waited.
The whole treefull of gus-birds got silent at 8:48pm.....and I STILL waited.
Nuffin'....
Nada.
Zilch.
NOT A BLESSED ONE.
The moon's pretty.
The breeze is great!
WHERE are my lightening bugs, dangit?!?!
*sigh*
Oh where oh where have my lightening bugs gone
Oh where oh where can they beeeeeeeee.......lalalala
*sigh*

I miss lightening bugs! Had lots of them back in NY, none here, anywhere. When you do see them please tell a few to fly west.
I thank you in advance!
Yeah, Mel, I haven't seen one for decades. It must be the salty breezes that don't appeal to them out here.
"WHERE are my lightening bugs, dangit?!?!"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh Mel...you are tooo funny!
Yes, I too miss the lightening bugs. In fact, they're one of my favorite things about summer, however I haven't seen any the past couple of years.
I miss lightening bugs :(
