The leaves are still falling.

Well, at least they're still falling from the hard maple out back.

But the patio is empty.

Very empty.

52 pots cleared out, stacked neatly in the garage.
I seem to remember 42 of the 52--where the other ten came from, I don't know. But there you have it..all neatly stacked, keeping the car company.

And then there's the patio lights.
I pulled those suckers in. And then I raided the closet where I keep my doo-dads and started playing.

Okay, let's face it.......it'll be 10 degrees or colder and NO one will be looking at the patio lights that will have festive holiday coloured lights in 'em.

WHY I thought tying little bows with jingle bells on 'em would make 'em festive......yeah, well, I abandoned that project when I found the 48 gold bulbs I snagged up on sale a few years back. WHY I thought that would be a good plan, I don't know.

So--now I'm thinkin' I'll hang the bulbs FROM the patio lights with little jingle bells inbetween 'em.

And THEN I thought maybe I'd put little jingle bells ON the bigger bulbs.

AND THEN.......

I put 'em all back in the closet and made a cuppa java.

I'll get my head wrapped around one idea.

Eventually.

OR----the patio lights will simply have festive coloured lights in 'em and I'll call 'em good to go?

Yeah.......
I'm leaning in that direction.....cuz now I'm thinkin' I'll tie the gold bulbs on the front porch railings with jingle bells AND bows.
