It was a nothing day.
Nothing is good.
Well, hardly nothing--I finished the weeding one spot and started another.
And I got a bit of sun on the patio, which was equally good.
Sun tea.
Sun.
Patio.
A nothing day is good.
I'll hope for another today.
I'll putter while she rests--and do some of those things she's not been up to for the past 7 weeks.

X to you and your sister!
Enjoy the sunshine. There's nothing like to bring the need to potter.
Yep pottering around doing someone else's to do list, that'll work, till you know what to do.
xx
keep pottering...it's good for you both...i am sure without doubt, not even one i am so sure that she SOOOO appreciates having you there pottering... please do take care of you at the same time and i assume the pottering is the same thing. xoxoxo
I love those nothing days; and I seem to have a lot of them lately.
But I think when we are doing what we call nothing, we are always doing a little something (like weeding).
Nothing is indeed good. And I'm so glad here was sun and sun tea on the patio.
I'm so glad for you and your sister and her husband that you'e there to share it with them.
I'm so often at a loss for words
Please know I'm with you in spirit, in thought, and in hope..
Thank goodness you can feel useful and contributing.
My sister just let me know last night that she's been in hospital and has a series of tests to go through. She was cagey...put her son (who I adore) on the phone because she was exhausted.
There's a biopsy of one breast to be done along with an ultrasound.
She's frightened - because she never phones me - typically does the email or facebook contact. Is asking that we tighten up our connection...she's feeling vulnerable. She's older than me by 6 years and then we have a sister who has alzheimer's who is 12 years older than me.
So, her daughter, son and I will be on alert!
Blessings on the nothing times.
Hi Mel,
Believe me,you need these "in-between"moments. They will give you strenght and focus.
Hey, isn't that great to have that sun? Enjoy the simple things of life. They are the best :)
