This little table has been with me for over 20 years. It came home with me when I was single, it followed me as I moved to this little town, and it made it's way outside when I moved into this little yellow house on the corner. It was all ucky and brown and ready for the trashmen (who come on Tuesdays whether I remember they're coming or NOT, btw). But for some reason I couldn't part with it. So I sanded the byjeepers outta it, pickled it multiple times and slopped on a coat of varnish.
Just because I'd proclaimed it a shoeless weekend doesn't mean I can't varnish in my bare feet!
It'll look cute on the back patio by the wreath, with the chairs by it.
It'll hold my coffee cup and a good book...or a bad book. LOL
It's not ready to meet the trashmen, apparently.
Somethings have a usefullness even when others don't/can't see it.
Now me..........I'm trying to LOOK of the 'nonusefull' type. LOL
This is how it got to be a shoeless weekend.
I highly doubt I'll last the ENTIRE weekend without shoes.
Shoes mean I have to be around 'people'.
I'm ready to be shoeless.....LOL However, I don't get to 'x' people off the planet and as much as I might have WANTED a WHOLE shoeless weekend (translate that to 'peopleless weekend'!), arrangments got made for me. But I'll get SOME shoeless time.....maybe........
HURRAH and YEAH!!
I got to be shoeless tonight!
YIPPEE!! (this is me celebrating what I have and not bemoaning if/when MY plans get messed with.....look fast, it won't last! ROFL!!)
And I'll feel good about the 'rescued table' along with the birdie houses that didn't have a home. (another "LOOK what I found on SALE, honey!!" moment, btw...it's not my fault. Obviously I have this 'thing' for sales and birdie houses, huh?)
The BEST thing about the birdie houses is that I got to use the drill! LOL
Well, that and I got to use it shoeless to boot!!! (*snicker* shoeless to boot....har!)
I'm gonna stick 'em in the bushes and pretend they're suppose to be there.
*nodding*
First thing tomorrow.
WITHOUT shoes!

I love that table!
and I love those little birdhouses on sticks!!
how cute are they!!!
(ok, that's enought with the exclamation marks. . .)
hopefully there'll be a photo of them hiding in the garden when you've decided where they are going?
How could anyone fail to see the usefulness (and beguiling charm) of such a wonderful litle table.
And yes please, pics of birdie houses in situ :)
(If you fix up birdie houses with drills and varnish tables when you're shoeless it might stop you looking non-useful you know.better be careful about that :)
