Kinda like circumstances in life that it's 'everchanging'.
I say 'thank goodness!' to that.
Soooo....
I'm a little 'long' on vacation hours--meaning I'm still earning them but I'm not going to get them because one can only accrue so many hours of paid leave. Which leads me to being told I'm going to 'take some time off'.
Frankly, I wondered if it was a punishment for doing wrong things. LOL I can be like that some moments.
I HAVE to take time off--whaddido?! LOL
Better question is, what WILL I do?!
A week ago I would have said, we'll get in the Jeep and just GO.........land where we land and see what we see.
But the Brit, who left his job a few months ago, decided to start 'catching butterflies and eating them'. (Mel's description of 'going nutzoid'...) A bit bored and apparently a lot READY to join some workforce (ANY workforce!), he is he is.
So he IS--he took a competency test and was found competent. (I'm pretty sure the testing instrument wasn't measuring mental/emotional competency. LOL More like competency in maths and sequential memory etc, etc, etc!) He passed the pee in the bottle test with little trauma.
And apparently he's going to take a job working part time for a local factory. Yeah for him that he's excited and looking forward to showing up and putting things together and being around people and machines.
I'm sure the butterflies he was trying to catch are extremely happy to see him go back to work!
I'm sulking because I have to take time off AND I'm about to lose my dinnercooking, laundrydoing, housecleaning, hihoneyhowwasyourday Brit to the evils of work. Perfect timing, dontchathink? LOL He's starting a new job...... and I'm taking mandatory vacation time.
*shaking head*
Soooooo....I have two more days of work this week that I'll get to shove everything in that only *I* can take care of--so I can take time off because I HAVE to--so *I* can catch butterflies and eat 'em!
