Sleeping with Bread

Laugh More
Countless times, over and over and over--silly things, tossing about priceless memories, one or two (dozen! LOL) practical jokes (I was pacing myself, dontchaknow!).... And then there's this uncanny ability to see the humor in circumstances that, once upon a time, I'da let define me and my worth and value. 'Specially when I've not done stuff up to MY standards of perfection.....

Face it--once you awaken to the fact that your worth and value with the Big Guy just IS--you're off the hook and you can laugh a whole LOT....at a whole lotta stuff.

Gripe Less
Yeah, well....I think I was well taken care of this week. I was kept so busy with the circumstances around me that griping and kvetching wasn't really much of an option. Okay, okay.....I mighta griped about the cod fishy stuff.

*shudder* k......no 'kinda' about that one. LOL

Ignore Critics
I've been taken care of so well this week that I'm genuinely hard pressed to come up with criticism that I've actually given life to. Oh, I'm sure it's been there. It's human--and I'm surrounded by a bunch of human beings--day in, day out. But truly--I've been so centered in taking care of the business at hand and so centered on exactly where my worth and value comes from that it's been a non-issue. Honestly--I've been unable to hear the critics. Well, 'cept for himself--who's been on me about my eating habits (of which I have none....)

Say YES
Oh, yes. LOTS of 'Yes, thank you, I think I'd like to do that' moments in the past week. And not begrudgingly, either. Genuine, sincere extending of myself to be of help in whatever fashion I could be helpful.

Which, given everything that's transpired in the past couple of week--small wonder I fall into bed at the end of the night, weary from everything that's gotten placed in front of me. But satisfied and content in the 'rightness' of the 'YES'.
That's a very good thing.....

Order Dessert
Okay, okay......so I'm not so keen on sweets....

...But I did have a hand full of popcorn in the past week. And I didn't care what the end result was going to be. LOL

And yup......it was DARN GOOD!!

Love Life
I think I've got that one in the bag this week.
Not that it was necessarily a week filled with all play. I'm very clear in many, many ways it was one of the toughest weeks I've had to muddle through for a very long time. Dealing with at least 50 people (of various sizes) grief and loss makes for interesting and difficult moments--over and over again.

But I've walked through it the 'voice of reason', the 'bearer of truth' and the 'healing caretaker' -- all with integrity and trust....

And with opened hands.

Isn't it amazing how He can use someone when they least expect it.....exactly when they need it the most.....

My G-d is an awesome G-d.
