Instructions from the Keg of Dynamite

Yep--back to work.
Okay, it was a short day. I'm thinking that'll be required for a while.

I get it.
I do.

I'm immuno-deficient and I .....k......'am getting older'.
OMG--the good news is I like the gal and overlooked that fact which she tossed out there like it wasn't a big deal.

I don't heal like others. I don't get sick like others.

Nothing was going to be improved by staying home--it's going to take time and wise choices.
Yep--so I figure I'm in trouble.....cuz I'm stubborn and stupid and I have this weird memory that makes things 'not as bad' after a period of time.

Stop over extending myself. 60 hour weeks are hard on healthy, 'normal' people. I ain't normal. (I have no problem being 'abnormal'.......THAT I can deal with..LOL)
Work less, go home when tired. (hard for me!)
Understand that I canNOT be around things that I'll pick up--they will explode on me cuz.... (another notsoeasy thing for me to keep in the front part of my brain..)
Understand that I need to ACT on how smart I really am. (gee--wasn't that a nice way to say it?)
Early intervention. (another struggle!!!)
If something starts to go upside down.....go back and see her post haste!

Got it.

My body isn't going to handle things right now and that's just how it is.
ACT on how smart I am.

k.
I said I'd do that.
And I did it today--worked about four hours, started up with the coughing and said 'outta here!'.
Now, how long I'll be willing to humble myself and actually DO that....*sigh* Dunno.
I really do have this deal with my memory.
I diminish the experience after time passes.

I'll ask himself to help remind me.
I get piffy if folks at work do it--maybe I'll be less piffy with himself?

I just know I've struggled for 12 days with this crap that still isn't gone. And she's assured me, it won't take much for it to explode again so I need to ACT on the smart that I am.

She told me I was lucky this time.
I suppose I oughta stop wondering HOW she meant that and just do what she suggested.

Strange--but I like the gal.
She's fiesty enough.
Knows enough.
And isn't afraid to ask questions to get answers if she doesn't know.
And once she DOES know--she's like a little keg of dynamite. BOOM--she gets it and she's gonna do what SHE thinks needs to be done.

*laughing* Which means I can't/haven't yet figured out how to manipulate her--which is always a plus!

:-D

*nodding my head*

She sounds like MY kinda doctor.

I like fiesty!

Probably because "I" am - HA!

Glad you're feeling better, dear lady!

Here's a bit more Reiki to help you along...

I agree...was just telling one of my employee's the same thing...his health is more important that him coming into work and not being 100%...we will survive without him even though we wish he was there...I am sure it is the same with your crew...want you there, but you need to take care of you...that is most important!!

Were you talking into a mirror!!!??? She sounds like you. Knowing the right way and telling someone how they need to do it. Isn't that what you'd do and what you'd suggest?

Okay, enough from me. Now take care of yourself.
To be honest, I have been "retired" since 2001. It was hell at first. But it finally has hit my brain and I actually ask someone for help or say, "I'll be right with you, I gotta rest a moment" while walking somewhere.

You can do it, and you will. Grab ahold of these instructions like you're the one that gave them!

And be Peaceful about it.

Glad you're doing better anyway.

Okay, Mel, you toughie. I'm going to put on my blogger's black belt. Here comes the move...ready? Go directly from cough to surrender. Do not stop on manipulation, justification or rationalization! Destination: Surrender.

Sounds to me like a certain Dr. has your number. She certainly is being guided to give you the goods: "ACT on how smart you are."

*Giggling over the Doc's well-honed manipulation.*

Great Doctor, good advice and (just let me go back a few lines...Oh yes) you know you will work better if you fit into your 'unusual' pattern of needs. So you'll do it. And then you'll have to learn how to cope with things being a bit easier but I'm sure you can do that too if you put your mind to it.
Seeing as how you have an unusually clearsighted mind : )

Hopefully you never will know how to manipulate her.
But then again, you'd only be hurting yourself. Remember your grandaughter wants you around, healthy.
