What's the weirdest reason you had for being late to work?
Haha.....believe it or not, I made 'the list' at the work place. I have a gal who keeps 'the list' just for our entertainment. It's a fun thing. She sends out a formal 'welcome to the list' email.
*ahem*
"There's a cherry picker in my driveway and apparently the fella who parked it.....ran down to get funnel cake--for breakfast.....apparently... But don't worry....the other fella's calling him on his cell phone.....which....apparently......is sitting right there on the trucks' seat next to him and it's got a lovely ringtone...... k.....this could take a while...."
Yup--fair week in Mel's world. True story.
Believe me--it's tame compared to some of the others that made 'the list'.
I'm sooooooo glad I'm one who plans to arrive 30 minutes early. LOL

Lol, it's just too weird to be a made up excuse.
I don't have any fun ones, sadly. The most interesting is probably the times I've had to rethink my outfit because the cat puked on something...
One time I was at a party and they were serving the most delicious chocolate milk I'd ever had. So I drank several. It never occurred to me that chocolate milk at an adult party was weird, I just thought it was a cool idea.
Except it wasn't chocolate milk. It was Kahlua and cream. And by the time I realized it, I was pretty much down for the count.
A hangover might not be *that* weird of a reason to miss work, but it was a novelty for me. :)
