Planting

I planted flowers on the patio yesterday.

That's what I did what those two extra hours I snagged when I left work early.

(okay....more like four extra hours cuz I never, ever leave the worksite when I'm actually scheduled to leave.....)

Yellow and white flowers.

No pinks.

No reds.

No purples.

Yellow and white.

The whole of our patio--yellow and white flowers.

What was I thinking?

Musta been thinkin' "Yellow and white flowers will be cool!", huh?

I'll admit that it does look cheery and it does feel serene.

But I'm thinkin' it would feel serene to me no matter the colours of the flowers. It's more a state of 'being' when you're swinging and sipping coffee.

The Brit seems to think our yard is a refuge for wildlife.

No--He called it a 'zoo'. LOL I prefer 'refuge for wildlife'--it sounds....calming

He shook his head at all the wildlife and thinks I'm emotionally attached to the whole lot of them.

(certainly he's confused........)

We had See-more the squirrel, Mikaela the chipmunk/ground squirrel (busy filling her little chipmunky cheeks, noless), Harry and Sally the downy woodpeckers, Dude and Dudette the nut hatchery dudes, LOTS of Gus-es (we have a few sparrows), Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal, a few Mr. and Mrs. Robins--all working their way around the little place in the back of the house we like to call our own.

I think they all like the yellow and white theme whole bunches.

See-more planted a few corns in the planter JUST to let us know the whole gang approved!
I was thinkin' of giving him his own planter--

Go figure himself groaned.
