Fear is only an illusion. It is the illusion that creates the feeling of separateness - the false sense of isolation that exists only in your imagination.--Jeraldine SoundersWe are only alone in our minds.
In reality, we are each contributing and necessary parts offering completion to the wholeness of the universe.
Our very existence guarantees our equality, which, when fully understood, eases our fears.
We have no reason to fear one another's presence, or to fear new situations when we realize that all of us are on equal footing.
No one's talents are of greater value than our own, and each of us is talented in ways exactly appropriate to our circumstances.
Freedom from fear is a decision we can choose to make at any time.
We can simply give it up and replace it with our understanding of equality with all persons.
Taking responsibility for our fear, or our freedom from it, is the first step to a perspective promising healthier emotional development.
If I am fearful today, it's because I have forgotten the reality of my existence.
I am equal to all the people in my world, and we are necessary to one another.
One of my not favorite topics, this fear jazz.
I'd like to spout that I'm not fearful of other people--for the most part, that's true.
But there are times I'm feeling complete inadequate to the task in front of me--times when I get wrapped up in hoping I don't look as stupid as I feel.
And interpersonally, there are people I'd just as soon not look stupid in front of.....and, of course, there are those I don't mind appearing dorky around, too.
Pride and ego, I'm sure.
*sigh*
Am I EVER gonna get rid of those stupid things?
Oh........probably NOT!
One has to be willing to give 'em up to be rid of 'em, huh?
*rolling eyes*
Yeah, yeah........I know.....practice, practice, practice!

*hummin' along to the fear jazz*
thanks for this
Fear is actually a very valuable emotion; it evolved to protect us from danger. It's always good to know if someone is trying to kill us, mug us, cheat us, or abuse us.
Be a good friend to your fear. Tell it: "I'm really glad you're looking out for me, but I'm not in any danger today." Or as Susan Jeffers says: Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway.
"fear is the path of the dark side"
If you mistype fear, you might get dear or rear.
Just thought you might like to know. And, I agree with your reading fairies.... remember this?
C:)
we need fear, but we also need to get a perspective on it, so that is doesn't take over everything.
we all need to work on balance, and we all need to know that others are doing it to.
pxx
Fear has its uses.
Pride and ego probably have theirs...I hope so because I don't seem to get rid of them easily.
