When your identity and fulfillment are tied to fleeting, superficial things, it is impossible to remain at peace.
When you invest your being in true and lasting values, and when you remain ever vigilant to those values, you develop the confidence and strength to be peaceful.
Peace cannot be forced on anyone, and true peace cannot be forcibly taken from anyone.
Peace comes to those who are strong enough and wise enough to choose it, and with that peace comes an abundance of living that is otherwise impossible to know.
Choose peace.
And with the strength of your choice, help it to grow.

Amen to that!
It's amazing, peace is such an easy concept to grasp, but one that eludes many in this world.
Hahahahahaa...I'm laughing at the Amens! Another One Mel! Amen Sister!!!
Choose Peace. Ironically enough, my sister has a peice of art she did title Choose Peace. In her art and your words, I find a sageness that is rare, awe-spiring & inspiring.
You know, I chose peace & honesty with my recent husband and he chose deceit, but was left aimless in all others aspects towards me...as I had already chosen peace. It's not always the easiest thing, but in the end it really does win. Best to take it with us on whatever journey life takes us.
*nodding*
Ya gotta know my mind wandered to you when the reading fairy dropped this one into my lap.
Yep---in the end, peace wins!
it does grow, huh. . .
