They're baaaaackkkk

Repeat....
Rain.
Rain.
More rain.

Wait....it didn't rain during the overnight hours--this is a good thing!  230am is a bit much for a 1st class thunderstorm that dumps 2" of rain on you.  Not to worry--we didn't get the 7" that the area north of us got! Right....that only means 'what's north comes south' in terms of the river.
*sigh*  Yes...flooded.  With more flooding to come.
The good news is we have no plans until Friday.
The bad news--the river isn't set to crest until Friday evening.
Already there are closed roads in town--already we've lost the north entry road.  Hopefully we'll keep the south entry but if not, I know the backroads from here to another entry.

Ohhh...but the lightening bugs are CRAZY right now.  Heat and humidity does that.  It also breeds mosquitos.
Out on the patio it's laugh and swat time right about dusk.
Well, it was last night!  First night this week that I've been able to sit on a DRY patio swing and watch the show!

The other nights....I had a wet rear.  LOLOLOL

I am amazed that you can laugh about it. I would be a total wreck if I was in your shoes.

Same here, Mel! OMG...the thunder storms have been INSANE. And it's funny because the storms seem to come at the same time everyday. Usually around 4 or 5 in the afternoon. And this is supposed to go on for the next week!

Oooooo...lightening bugs!!! I love them! Haven't seen any here yet :(

((((( You )))))

Yikes!! That's a lot of rain. We had a bunch too. The wheelbarrow got left out...sitting under the trees and it was half-filled with water over night. And now that the house is scraped and is ready for its paint...well...of course...it rains every day. Phooey.
Well...glad you can sit on a dry swing and enjoy those lightning bugs. Here we call them fireflies. And because it's been hot...we've been sleeping in the guest room downstairs with a view. They light up the trees at night...what a show. It's like having twinkling lights in the big tulip tree. :)
