"In the midst of our holiday “madness,” we often forget thatwhat most people want, more than anything else, is to be
truly appreciated by us. The best gift we can give to the
people in our lives is the gift of our true appreciation and
love."

Questions to Ponder
What gifts am I giving this season?
Who do I appreciate?
Do they know?
Action Steps
Add appreciation to your gift giving list.
Find at least one way to show appreciation to everyone you
give gifts to during this season.
*sigh*
C'mon!
Go easy on me.
I'm still working on that procrastination and 'to do list'!
(I'd consider tossing the book but the one that was in the hallway JUST got put back on the shelf where it belongs......)
*sigh*

I really appreciate you

Uh uh......I appreciated you first!
:-P
(ya know I've been a bit concerned about how you're doin'...I'm gonna have faith that it's 'okay'. But that will NOT stop me from being nosy! Justsoyaknow....)

I am ok, it's just that everything and everyone around me is/are
is/are
is/are
struggling. . .
does that make sense? but I've struggled so much over the last two and half years that I know why is going on now is not my struggle. . .
my lovely WW yesterday reassured me again that I'm in a good place, doing the right thing by my children, setting my boundaries as well as I can
the things that count for me - right now they are the only things I can do, she reminded me that when we met 7 years ago I was exhausted because I put everyone else's needs first (we had a break of five years in between first meeting until I started seeing her again)
I used to do so much for so many others that right now it seems kinda selfish to be concentrating on me, but it's all I can do right now
I read what you do and am in awe of your work with the kiddos, when all I do day after day is sit here looking after myself and my three and trying my best to be a good friend to the people who are in my life
have no money for the bookbinding anymore and the band's split up and I don't even make cupcakes very often!
I need to go and get a job and I need to get my head around money talks with my soon-to-be-ex-husband and then find a house where the children and I can make a real home (it's good here in the rental, but I'm fed up with cream walls and hot being able to bang nails into the walls!)
but the good news in the short term is one of my lovely friend's has invited me for this weekend (I won't have the children from Friday until xmas day afternoon) and another for drinks on xmas eve
so there are people, like you, who are thinking of me
and that makes me smile!
so thank you
I'm OK, just in an unsettled place. . .
:-)
Ah, but you're sounding pretty settled amidst the unsettledness.....centered in what's yours and what's not. That's a very good thing.
Never ever underestimate the importance of being the best mom you can be to the kiddos. It's ours to teach, theirs to do with it what they will. And good friends are priceless!
I know you know this. I know that circumstances will sometimes help us lose focus of those truths.
I really, really, REALLY like that WW in your life. but you know that, too! LOL
Good for you to have people in your life who embrace the whole of you. It's what YOU do--it's wondeful when it's reciprocated.
Enjoy the time with friends....and know you're being thought of bunches.
Time passes, things change--enjoy what IS, today.

(now I can fret less...LOL)
