"When the time is right, child." When the time is right. How often have we heard those words?
We want things so badly - that job, that check, a relationship, a possession.
We want our life to change.
So we wait, sometimes patiently, sometimes anxiously, wondering all the while: When will the future bring me what I long for?
Will I be happy then?
We try to predict, circling dates on the calendar, asking questions.
We forget that we don't hold the answers.
The answers come from other places.
If we listen closely, we'll hear them.
When the time is right, child. When the time is right.
Be happy now.

Unknowns are merely joys we haven't met.

But I get SICK of waiting!!!!
That pesky illusion of time creeping in again?
Dreaming of things we want in the future only ensures that we don't get them today.

"be happy now"
I'll take that thought to bed with me
Thank you so much for saying this Mel. I've seen far too much of folks dwelling on what's to come rather than just living now, enjoying what we have while we have it and like the Nike slogan: "Just do it" and just doing it. My heart goes out to those who won't just go ahead and live life.
Here's to wishing you enough.
Amen ...and again I say amen!

Angels only hear half notes damn it!
