Go figure when you wrap your head around something happening--it gets changed.
Not that the whole ball of wax is changed, just the time frames for the change.
I have some thinking around that.
I'm not sure it's all very pure and loving at this moment. But I get to embrace the things I cannot change as opportunities while still chasing what I believe is 'right'.
I am not going to be popular.
This on the heels of being asked to be active in a process that's important to the whole of the company I work for.
Cuz I'm good at writing.
Cuz I pay attention to the details.....
"Cuz I'm obsessive and anal?"
Yup--that's what he said....cuz I pay attention to the details.
Nice reframe. *laughing*
I'm still going to chase what I believe is right. And that'll undoubtedly ruffle feathers and make me unpopular with some folks.
But yes thank you, I think I'd like to take my anal self to more meetings and help write some rather hefty stuff.
I wonder if I can use this as an excuse to purchase some really nifty-keeno pens and pencils?!
Or.....a cool computery thingy! Whoa....how cool would that be?!
k....I'll stick with the pens and pencils. :-/

Good on you for chasing what you believe is right - if more people did this think of how wonderful the world would be. Yes, you def need the pens and pencils thingies!
Don't really know what you're talking about, but I like your thinking. Chase your beliefs and hang on to them. They're what makes you.. you. And you's a pretty nifty gal!
Hey Mel, wish you a very happy new year :)
As you proceed, dear friend, please remember that societies (and companies) value live conformists and dead prophets.
*Laughing*. Attention to details indeed. I can imagine that you'll be giving a whole lot of people the perfect opportunity to embrace things they cannot change as opportunities. Go Mel! With you chasing right they just can't lose.
The thing about being anal is that you pull your head out of your arse often enough to get the job done right before you stick it back in again.
(((((((((((((((MEL))))))))))))))))
Peace
hugs, dearheart
hope you're finding time to rest and play and look after Mel
When working with a group, the key to getting your point across without ruffling feathers is to say it with good humor and love and be inclusive. ie, never start a sentence with "You people..."
;-)
Great assignment. Have fun, Mel.

Good for you, Mel!
You sometimes have to ruffle feathers to chase what you believe is right. Quite frankly, I'm willing to be unpopular to make my point. And trust me, I know this from past experiences - HA!
(((( Mel ))))
You go, Mel!
