I've taken to stealin' outside in the wee mornin' hours to watch the sun come up.
It's a great concept.
Birdies are singin', the world is quiet, the sun's painting the heavens with brilliant hues--it's me and the patio swing.....
And a quilt.
Cuz it's freakin' cold at 28 degrees!
Oh, but what a magnificent way to begin the day....

G'mornin'Mel.....
MAN, OH, MAN....what a glorious photo!!!
Jeees!
And I often wonder how people believe there is no God!?
Your post brought back memories for me, when I went to the Pocono Mountains for 7 days. I'm actually NOT a morning person, however, I got up every day at 6AM and did the same as you.
(it was 2 degrees)
And like you said..."What a magnificent way to begin the day...."
(and then of course, I ran inside and had some hot oatmeal and coffee)
Thanks for starting my day with a smile, dear lady!
Enjoy your day!!!!
:-)
it's kinda peaceful and soulfilling, innit. . . empties your head and fills it right back up again
(chills the hot drink a little too quickly!)(the quilt is a very very good idea!!)
hoping your day was good, too
Ooh that is magnificent :)
Well I missed the good morning bit for Monday, but just in case you're going to be up any minute (over there) GOOD MORNING for Tuesday :)
xxx
I tell people i must be part rooster cause I wake up when the sun comes up.
Don't know if that pic is one you took, but it sure is purdy!
yup, birdsong and the sun peeking over the back wall, all from the comfort of my perch on the step - perfect way to start a day
good morning
(((((((((((mel)))))))))))))
I get up every morning at sunrise to walk Sioux and say my prayers. I feel less like me if I miss it.
It must be spring---warmed up to a whole 35 degrees this mornin'!
*waving*
G'morning folks!
And yup---we had a beautiful sunrise goin' on over here(under the quilt)!
:-)
I love the early morning...cool, crisp...and QUIET....(damn birds)
I gotta try it with a quilt
