Houston, supposedly (!) we have a problem.....

k.......I wanna know just WHO decided what's a flower and what's a weed.

Himself seems to think poisoning flowers is a good plan.
HA.
That's what he gets for thinkin'!

Nope, no tulips, no daffodils, no pretty pink whozit trees.
WE have an Iowa wildflower in our backyard.
And it's STAYING!

*going to hide the poison*

Hmmmmmmmph!

I read once that every part of a dandelion is edible. I also would love to try dandelion wine?

OH MY GOD...himself sounds like a PLANT MURDERER!

Poor little flowers....

You're right, Mel.

HIDE THE POISON!!!!

I hear you Mel. The Man is afraid to try to use poison on plants near me, but he is constantly muttering about the dandelions. "Mutter Mutter....Too many of them" and I reply "But I love them. They are beautiful flowers". He walks away muttering under his breath. LOL! Score one in Indiana for the amazing dandelion!

LOL. We've got dandelions galore here, too...and had ZERO two days ago.

I, Like The View said...

see, I like a dandelion or two. . . and I like blowing the dandelion clocks. . .

:-)

I agree Mel...hide that poison! From their little sunshiney faces to their whispy parts, I love'em too!

and himself needs to try dandelion greens in a salad with arugla and a good strawberry vinaigrette
and himself needs to have some dandelion root tea...
tell him to stuff the poisons,

Ooh! Dandelions! Wonderful! We used to blow their spores away and use them to tell the time. (Aren't children cute? Well, I was, anyhow.)

Did you know this flower's name means "teeth of a lion" in English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Norwegian and German? But in France, they call it pissenlit, which means "pee the bed". I never really understood the French.

Lol...they are flowers if we like 'em and weeds if we don't!

of course you know to make a wish and blow the seeds away...but did you know when the are in full yellow bloom you can hold them under your chin to see if you like butter?

(did himself tell you they will take over and choke out all the other pretty things?)

They are flowers. Obviously. And veggies. And medicinal (probably).

Weeds? Now cabbages look like weeds.
