Oh, I remember.....

Oddly enough, this morning the laptop wouldn't recognize the wireless despite my attempts to 'reintroduce' them multiple times.
Oddly enough...they decided to quit shaking hands with each other..
And yup.....you can bet I mumbled my way through my morning NOT LIKING the interference with my routine.

Gratefully--the silly laptop decided to work this evening.

I remember typewriters well.
I still own one.
Admittedly, it's a self correcting electric one....
Admittedly, it doesn't talk back to me.

I think I like my laptop more....

I honestly don't recall the last time I saw these two words (type-writers)used together.

I was out of graduate school before PC came into being. Don't even ask about what it cost to get a dissertation typed. YAY laptops.

my father (who spent his ENTIRE career at IBM) insisted I take a typing class as SUMMER SCHOOL between 7th and 8th grade...so that would be 1972.

He told me about computers and keyboards. I didn't care. I was ticked off I had to take summer school...and typing no less.

What I did learn was sign language. Just about everyone else in the typing class was deaf. I learned a great deal that summer about lots of different things.

Typewriters...

OMG...I use to LOVE typing on a typewriter. I even took a class in high school.

But PC's are so much quieter.

no loud tap.tap.tapping.

So glad your laptop made the connection. God, isn't that a horrible feeling to be disrupted from your routine??? I know the feeling, Mel!!!!

I'm a Libra...remember?

my mother sent me off one summer to a local college to learn how to type but they asked me if I'd spend the summer teaching English as a foreign language to some Italian students instead

never did learn how to type properly (didn't learn any Italian either, come to think about it)

but now we have computers, Word and Google Translate!

Oh you have to be so nice to laptops.... sometimes more than they deserve.... they do have an inflated ego and sense of importance....
But read this very quietly just in case yours hears.... I've written this softly!!!!
