Bug bought me a prezzie--it makes whoppin' BIG bubbles and there's a pair of 3D glasses to wear, too.She wore the glasses and made the bubbles. We played outside on the swing set and then played inside with the kitchenette. We made hot dogs, pizza and french fries. And then we had snack cuz mom let us--a shared dill pickle! :-)
Interesting way of sharin'--she puts it in her mouth and attacks me with it. Well, I'm suppose to eat one end while she eats another.....but I got to giggling too hard.
"Nono Nana--eat the pickle....."
Yeah, well, I did.
And then we got out of those outdoor clothes.
Ohhhhhh.....guess what Bug?! You have chicken pox.
"I have chicken pox mommy!"
Mommy wasn't amused--she assured me the Bug had been crawling around in the basement while they were cleaning yesterday. And see--even she got bit by a spider or something....multiple times.
I asked if she found the spider and I asked to see the bites. And then I asked if she'd been feeling a bit stressed lately.
I hated to tell her it was shingles.
She showed me her 'bites' and I had to shake my head and close my eyes.
Shingles, dearheart.
And Bug has chicken pox.
And Bug has chicken pox.
"I have chicken pox mommy!"
I just smiled weakly.
I just smiled weakly.
"MOM......you shared a pickle and kisses and hugs and......oh GREAT.......I have shingles...."
Uh huh.
Hugs.
Uh huh.
Hugs.
Kisses.
And a pickle.
Okay...two pickles.
Nana snuck into the kitchen and got a second one when mommy was upstairs to find out if the daddy ever managed to get chicken pox.
THEY WERE REALLY GOOD PICKLES.
(Just sayin'.......)

WOW WHEEEEEE....what FUN!!!!!!
And I only wish I'd have been there with you two, today. I LOVE bubbles!
And also...pickles. Especially those big kosher pickles that *crunch* when you bite into them.
Aw...sorry to hear about the Bug having chicken pox. I can remember when I had them as a kid and scratching like crazy.
((((( Bug )))))
X to you both!
Hi Mel,
Now first, that is a cutie pie pic :)) How cute, prezzies for you!
I remember the Calamine lotion that my Mom endlessly dabbed on to ease the scratching.
Yah, have a pickle; slam dunk into the mouth. I would be giggling, too!!
I hope that Bug will be OK.
getting the chicken pox out of the way is a good thing.
dill pickles are also pretty damned good.
bubbles are even better.
Just as well the pickles were good.
And bubbles too! Chicken pox is good to have early in life but shingles not so good.
Hoping it's a mild attack.
Chicken Pox and Shingles? Yikes.
I remember when my brother and I had chicken pox. My parents left us with my grandparents in New Jersey. They had to go to California to find a home as we were being transferred.
My Gramma spoiled us.
I'm thinking you know all about that sorta thing?
