Another fine mess.....LOLOL

I will NOT elaborate on questions about the healing process.  I will be polite--tell people I'm doing 'okay' and keep moving.
Seriously--it's taking up wayyyyyyyy too much space in my head.  And then I start to go nutso....and sleep on the couch cuz I have some obscure 'pain' in the back of my thigh.  Good grief....probably a cramp from trying to move around with tensed muscles just WAITING for the other shoe to drop.  Enough already.
I took my duckies to the bubbles...and soaked.  Took a couple tylenol and camped out on the couch..with the brace locked in place and tried to sleep.  *sigh*  The added support for the night seemed to do the trick--up and moving without that crampy pain this morning.......so....  "I'm doing okay, thanks for asking."

I have other things to give my attention to.
As in May 7-29th.
I FINALLY got himself to book a flight to go see his mum.  She's been horribly sad and getting more confused--and he just needs to go see her.  Enough putting it off based on my broken-ness.  I can get in the car and get to work.  I can schedule 'stuff' out of town for other dates so it's not too scary traveling--and I can practice so going further isn't so stupidly scary in the month before he takes off!  There are people around here that will help me if that's what's needed.  SCHEDULE the flight!
Wow that took a whole lotta work on my part to make it happen. But it did!

Now I haffta wonder.....zackly HOW am I gonna make things happen that I need to have happen?

MORE crazy making in the head...I can't 'plan' for a month from now!!!
Do what I can today--and keep moving.  We'll deal with those 3 weeks when they get here!

*sigh*
I'm doing okay, thanks for asking.
All things will work out--let's not borrow troubles.

k....
I need to tattoo that on my head or something....LOLOL

Your right hon, he does need to go see her! AND you, lovely lady, will be fine...in fact, I bet that you will be more than fine! Bet that you will be fending people off and will be on here saying 'enough already give me some peace and quiet' :-).

*hugs* to Himself...it's not fun when a family member is starting to get confused.

Definitely, he needs to go. I've just dealt with that. And although my mom is surrounded by caregivers, I'm glad I went. And Mel, you will make it. Might be a confidence builder too. And as Carol said, there are bound to be people who will help you. Hurrah for you!

I'm the same way, Mel, because the more I elaborate and talk about it, the more it stays the focus. Instead of just getting well.

Glad to hear he's going. And good for you for convincing him to do so. You're right, it's important that he go visit his mum.

(((((( You ))))))

Hi Mel,
I think that going "one day at a time" is plenty. One day's healing, one day of life.
The mind often speeds ahead of itself as we all know.

I think that is wonderful that Mister will get to go spend time with his Mum. That is a major decision but I know that you will be fine. :)

Yes they will work out. It's good that you agreed with himself that he should see his Mom and you'll be a whole lot better by then.

I've just spent almost five weeks without my man while he went to Oz to see his daughter. I'm not seriously disabled but I do have walking problems. It all fell into place though, I drove out and ate out, and enjoyed myself in a quiet sort of way.

Dear Mel. I hope you're still doing ok.
It seems like the best thing for himself to go and see his mum. Those kinds of trips can't be fitted in to when it's convenient - there just isn't such a time.
