I remember being told "NO" a whole lot....that oughta count....
*"Do as I say, not as I do." Not real helpful, but there you have it. And of course, I wasn't going to BECOME my father by doing what he did--cuz I was slicker, smarter, cooler dontchaknow.......
*"If you don't like the weather--stick around for an hour. It'll change." Okay, the dad was right on that one. Iowa weather IS like that!
*"That's about as useless as tits on a boar." *chuckling* Afraid to say, that saying still comes outta my mouth. It warrants a few strange looks now and then. The Brit whaps me when he hears that sentence starting up......LOL
*"You're eye's will get stuck if you keep doing that." HA!! I keep doing that and they're STILL not stuck.....so pffffffffffftttttttttttttt!!!!!
Oh! And "You'll strain your eyes from reading in the dark." HA to that, too!! Proven fact that concentration is improved when people read in a dimly lit room....that's if you don't fall asleep. LOLOL
Shoot.....too bad it was limited to four.......LOL

Mel, now that thing about the weather, I thought that came from here,KY, at least that's what they say all the time.
the rest of that stuff and more I heard growing up, now did you grow up next door to me???
