Wee thought.....

It's a bitter pill to swallow, but it's often our intellect that gets in the way when we're dealing with our feelings and how we express them.
Love is the be all and end all.

Aww... everyone is always down on the intellect. From my perspective, our intellect is a musical wind instrument, and our feelings is wind. I just takes lots of practice to learn how to play it right. C;)

I'm letting Katherine speak for me here. I was just as moved by Mr. A's comment, and Katherine is smarter than me.

I think I got it. If you really re-read the paragraph, you'll see we're talking about intellectually analyzing a feeling or emotion. Can't be done. You can't define 'love', you can experience it. You can't figure out how much to love a child under different circumstances, or a spouse. You love them or you don't. How you deal with them is a different issue, and is different than the issue of loving them. One is intellectual, one is emotional. Best to keep them separate. Just because you love someone doesn't mean you have to buy into their craziness. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. Now I'm going to bed.

Not bad, sir.....not bad!

Intellect isn't a bad thing at all.....it can just get in the way if we let it.

Very good!
You learn well, Grasshopper! ;-)
