Squirmy Fairy Thought

Take note, today, of all the opportunities you have to offer a helping hand, a helpful suggestion or a kind word to another person.

Do
nothing. Say nothing. Offer nothing.
Just note the opportunites for a whole 24 hours.

How comfortable does even the idea of that exercise to do nothing, say nothing and offer nothing 'feel' to you?

hmmmmm.

not very comfortable at all.

I guess that taking advantage of All of the opportunities would be cumbersome...so then there is the picking and choosing...

but to make note...to acknowledge the times to help and be kind...but not do it?

hmmmm....

I dunno.

very squirmy.

I am incapable of doing nothing when I see that something needs to be done.

But this thought is tempered with the idea of the 12 steps, that is, the wisdom to know the difference between that which I can change and that which is none of my business. It's a guessing game to be sure, but I'd rather err on the side of trying to do something.

Also hard to get out of a comfort zone. This is hard work for me.

OMG...very unconfortable and very squirmy!

I honestly don't think I could do this.

Especially a kind word.

You know what, I feels good to me. Because you sometimes have to take care of yourself first and that means doing nothing for someone else.
