We have grass.We have flowers!
And we have a lawn that needs mowed.
Hows come that makes me happy? LOL
Ah well--Give it another couple of months. The newness will wear off, I'm sure!

Betcha with another cuppa coffee or two I can come up with 'reasons' that flower shopping and planting (after all, they look so sad stuck in those bitty containers with their roots all hangin' out....) is necessary!!!!!
So what if it's gonna be 33 degrees tonight.....
It's not like we have to lug every plant inside.

[due to excessive dryness this season, I've only had to mow the yard twice thus far...poor Henry (the tortoise) is having to range a bit farther for food]
grape hyacinths. . .
haven't seen some of those for a very long time - my mother used to grow them in her rockery
